I have made these for special people and although I can't say who they are for yet, (because some don't know yet), I wanted to share them with you because there is some GREAT stuff from the Occasions Mini used on them. For example, the Framelits Die is used for the "topper", and the stamp set P.S. I Love You, the LARGER pearls and a couple of the necklaces use the Twitterpatted fabric! I also used, not from the mini, the Nuetrals Pattern Paper Pack DSP(for the tags). And of COURSE, a piece of CHOCOLATE!

Isn't this just ADORABLE? I used the Petal Card PUNCH to make this! (YOU NEED THIS PUNCH) AND it was SO EASY! I punched out TWO of them and folded just two flaps on each one and glued them together! AND, AND.......I cut the FELT with our HEARTS FRAMELITS! Then I stamped and punched one of the sentiments from the set PS I Love You from the Occasions Mini. My favorite holiday is Valentine's (well, secondly AFTER Christmas of course). It holds PERFECTLY a Reese's Peanut Butter Heart! Next idea I will REPOST another idea made with this punch! You will be thinking of adding it to your SAB order-I'm tellin' ya!

Turtle And Co. (Ronald McDonald stamp set/SU!)

I am so sad to say that this is the first time I pulled this set out and stamped with it.EEEK! Every year, Stampin' UP! designs a stamp set specifically for the Ronald McDonald House Project. Every stamp set sold, they donate $2.00. Last year they donated over $60,000! That's alot of help! I know, we had to use their services back in 1994 and it was a GOD SEND! Anyway, I used the Paper Piecing technique on the turtle's shell. I used the Patterns Pack DSP I stamped the turtle once on the white circle, then stamped it again on the DSP and cut out the shell, and popped it up on the previously stamped one.

My Digital Studio/Graduation Invites

So, here we are...2012....and what does that mean? Well, for ME, it means SEVERAL exciting things...TWO of my daughters hitting HUGE milestones in their lives. One is graduating high school and one is getting married in September. My husband and I will celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary in May and many, many more things too many to talk about right now. With BOTH of those HUGE milestones comes lots and lots of planning and I am sure not enough time...so today, since I was feeling giddy, I thought it would be a good day to at least get the invitations out of the way for graduation so I can start thinking of decorations for the big day. This is not like me to use anything "printed off" because one of the things that I enjoy most is CREATING them with my hands and seeing them 3D, but this was a great time saver and was able to use My Digital Studio for the first time and actually be able to "show it off" to others. But in reality, we did create them with our hands, just not with all the ribbons and bows to actually feel. She chose pink and black as her colors, because the class colors were, well, let's just say, yuckko...(teal and purple-too Mardi Gras for me). (PS-I can't believe how much she looks like I did at that age and how she looked like me in her baby picture-for so long she looked so much like her dad...wowzers!

More Occasions Mini and Sellabration stuff

well, I did manage another time of play to at least get my hands n my stuff...not going very well these days..I have lost my mojo over the holidays...I still need to design cards for January card classes still...anyway, easing back into it, this is what I came up with using the NEW Blossom Punch and the Twitterpatted DSP and some lovely new Bakers Twine all from the mini. The stamp set is a Sellabration set that you can earn FREE starting January 24th-March 31st. And did you notice the larger pearl in the middle? Yep, got them in bigger sizes! Okay, so now that Christmas is over for this year, I decided to get all excited about the new year and one of the things about the new year is CHANGE! I wanted to post some "teasers" for you from the NEW OCCASIONS MINI that starts on January 4th, 2012! There's so much fun in this mini that is fresh and fun! I used alot of new product on this card along with some "oldies, but goodies"...One of the things I am REALLY,REALLY excited about are the FRAMELITS! I used the Hearts Framelits on this card and I like how you can move them around anywhere on the paper and are not limited to where you want your shapes to be because of this. I used the Twitterpatted DSP, PS,I Love You-stamp set, GORGEOUS Satin Ruffled ribbon, and LARGER PEARLS! YEEEESSSS! (the "oldies but goodies"-Word Window, and Modern Label punches, and my favorite embossing folder-Perfect Polka Dots-yep, HAD to get the Big Shot in there!) Christmas Cards

I truly ran out of time this year and wanted to send and give Christmas cards to so many more people than I did and I apologize if you did not get one this year....I guess I need to start the day after Christmas this year...yeah right...probably not going to happen. But what I came up with wasn't that difficult, or labor intensive, just needed to get them in all prepped for assembly and I think I got 24 of them done. Anyway, once again, thanks to the Big Shot and embossing folders and dies, it made it alot easier to get those 24 finished.
I hope that you all have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and that the NEW YEAR brings prosperity, peace and pleasure to you all!

Beau Cheatau Caddy gift

I made these for Jenna's preschool teachers for Christmas...I added some Bath and Body Works products, a pedicure set, some fingernail polish, microwave popcorn and of course CHOCOLATE! I always enjoy making these caddies and it's just as much fun "theming" them and finding things to put in them.

Fun Flowers Candy Bouquet

I made this candy bouquet for my friend Laura Mellinger for Christmas, and I must say I LOVE these chocolates! I am surprised that they all made into the gift....lol. Anyway, I had lots of fun making it for her and I hope that she can enjoy the delishness of them! She inspires me so! Large Rosette Decoration

Okay, so one of the addictions I have when seeing the new minis, catalogs etc. is what is there new for the Big Shot? Well, in the new Ocassions Mini, there was a Rosette die! It makes a 10" rosette, and the HUGE deal is...it cuts and SCORES it for you! Now initally, cutting four peices of cardstock will make a 10" rosette, but can you imagine adding more and getting REALLY big ones? Anywho, I used a bunch of stuff from the Sellabration(which was FREE with purchase) on it and some stuff from the new mini as well, (like the DOILY DIE in the center!) and I must say, that paper is to die for and those brads....I cannot wait to get Sellabration started!

I had a dinner date with some of my hostesses who have been in my club for 6 of my 8 years the other evening and we had a card swap. This was my card swap and I just love adding the Lattice die over DSP. I also love that 5 Petal Punch and how versatile it is, here I used it to make a poinsettia. LOVE those Glimmer Brads too! So, last night, I was invited to a Ladies Night Out Christmas party to present them a project that would take 30-45 minutes to complete. I saw this idea on Barbara Welch's blog last year and thought this would be a fun and quick thing for them to make. There was 9 ladies total there and about half had NEVER crafted with stamps before...I think I could get them hooked as 3 want to attend card nights, one suggested that I put together a "project night", and one said her daughter might like to host a workshop. I SURE hope they enjoyed it as much as I think they did, because they made me feel like I was a SUPERHERO!

Okay, so these were craft fair items from last year, and I have to apologize that I have NOT been getting much done these last couple of weeks due to starting some part time work and working on upcoming classes, it's kept me all so busy. I just wanted to re-visit some Christmas stuff from last year to give the ideas for gift giving, etc. I will making these for Jenna's preschool class this year, since I had such an overwhelming response to my TP roll collecting from so many people...I even had them leaving them at the front door and have NO idea who they came from! LOL

Stitched Stockings Baby Cardigan Tag

So I recently just finished one of my product based stamp classes and for those who signed up and pre-purchased the Stitched Stockings stamp set and punch from me got to make 2 "bonus" out of the box projects at the class. They didn't get to see them until the class. Here is one of them that I came up with. I punched out two stockings and had them run them through the Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots folder (remembering to face them away from each other to ensure the texture on the same sides), then cut off the toes, glued them together just over the edges and added the pearls and I bought these little hangers a long time ago and thought these would be cute to use on this tag. I then stamped Welcome Baby from Petite Pairs stamp set.

Stocking Die box

I have seen these boxes being made all over the place and me being a completely easily impressed person, I thought I would try one. I used Poppy Parade and Pear Pzazz cardstock. I then cut a box from the Box #2 die and put it together and glued in between two stocking cut outs. EASY PEASY! That's just another reason you need a Big Shot, it makes so many things so much faster!

Downline Event

So, yesterday I had a all day event for my downline again. I think we are going to definatley try this quarterly! We had a nice cozy time. For lunch I served them Loaded Baked Potato soup in Bread bowls, Ceasar Salad and I mad a Caramel Apple Cheesecake. After lunch, we went into my stamp room and crafted the rest of the afternoon. I gave them each a box (one from the Holiday Mini) that I decorated with Spice Cake DSP and some craft wire and inside I put a homemade sugar scrub inside. I served them their drinks in wine gobblets with wine charms I personalized for each one. We even did a handmade gift exchange and card swap! (Those photos are to come later)

The extended candy wrapper box that I wanted to show them last time, but got it to them this time! I wanted to show them how to make the rosettes on the front...I hope they liked them.
These are FABULOUS boxes in the Holiday Mini and those buttons, yeah, may just have to "hoarder" some more before the mini is expired.

Spice Cake Pumpkins

I have one more fall card to share....I was going to use this for card class this month, but decided not too. I used two different punches to punch out Spice Cake DSP and sponge the edges with Soft Suede ink and then "layered" them to rememble two different pumpkins. I then used the 5 Petal punch and punched out leaves for the top of them to resemble vines. I love the stamp set Grateful Greetings, have used it lots, and stamped it on Very Vanilla and punched out with Fancy Label Punch. Then hung it using Expresso Baker's Twine with a pearl.

I had a workshop last night with 9 new ladies to the Stampin' UP! world and had a WONDERFUL party! I went up and over my $100,000 career sales goal! WAS TOTALLY AWESOME! It was not only knowing that I was close to hitting it(but I hit it 2 months EARLY for my goals) it was an awesome group of ladies that I hope to get to know more. I made these for my daughter's PreK party on Friday. I used the Candy Wrapper die for the Big Shot, and the Fright Night DSP. I LOVE the polka dot prints in that pack....anyway, I used the directions to EXTEND the die to fit a FULL SIZE candy bar~

Then of course, the LOLLIES...gotta have those on there. I stamped the stamp twice, once in Cajun Craze and then again in Black, and punched out the spider with the 1" circle punch and popped it up on a dimensional.

Gift Givers mini candy bar slider

For my last workshop, I wanted to do a simple make and take geared towards Christmas because we all know that if we don't start thinking early, we don't start preparing early. I wanted to do a simple treat giving idea that was easy to reproduce in larger quantities. So, I paired three items from the Holiday Mini catalog: Stocking Punch, Frostwood Lodge DSP, and the stamp set Gift Givers. (and of course, who doesn't like a little blingage too...).

It's just a 3x3 piece of DSP wrapped and adhered together slightly larger than the candy bar so it slides up and down easily, then punch a hole through both layers, thread some ribbon through the hole, drop your candy bar onto the ribbon so that it "sinks" to the bottom and then tie at the top.

I recently posted a "Pay It Forward" on Facebook to the first 5 people to comment on my status would get a handmade gift from me sometime from now until the end of the year.....but I like to get things done and sent out or life gets in the way and I forget. I made these chalkboards for a craft fair this past weekend, (in which I MISSED going too, due to a horrible migrane in the middle of the night). Anyway, I saw the idea briefly on the airplane home from Convention. You see, I was about 4 rows in front of it and I heard all these gasps of "ooh and awww" behind me and clapping started....and I stood up and turned around and a gal was going through her swaps while waiting to take off, was holding up a similiar idea, so beings that I didn't have my camera ready and the flight attendant asked her to put it away(due to them trying to take off and we were all up and looking, lol)I had to try and remember it in my mind until I could get my notebook out and sketch it...I think I did pretty well. Anyway, I had fun making them and will make some more for my Holiday Open House in November.

Okay so I have to admit the layout is not my idea, but I changed up the colors and so now it is...lol I did this card for a THO workshop this past week and I had so much fun showing how to use the Simply Scored board and the Big Shot and embossed only the two ends. Then I stamped the limb in Soft Suede and the owl in Indigo Island then punched out More Mustard flowers from the Itty Bitty punch pack, and do you NOT just LOVE those teeny tiny silver brads? Then I pulled out the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and stamped onto Lucky Limeade and punched out with the Word Window punch. Then I used our gorgeous Black Dotted Scallop ribbon.

I wanted to do something simple for this set, and I saw another demonstrator wrap hers in plastic. So, I pulled out my little "jewelery bags" from a local craft supply store and cut off the zip"loc" part of it and put it over the top of the candy and tied it shut.

I think it came out cute, and not sure who to send it to...lol Anyway, my lovely friend Laura Mellinger's husband, Rick, made me a lightbox so I could get better photos of my creations. He did WONDERFUL! Now I just want to put things in it to photograph!

I love using markers to color balloons in different colors, but I really love our new In Colors! Wasn't sure about them in the beginning, but now, I love them! I used Pattern Party balloons and a sentiment from Up, Up and Away set. I then mounted the balloons AND the sentiment on Acrylic Block E, colored the balloons using the markers, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo and Pool Party, then colored the sentiment Calypso Coral and stamped all at once.

I can't tell you how many times we have used this set since I got it back at Convention in 2008! It's a favorite by alot of people and we have used just about every different kind of color combos as we can...I was looking for something on the more masculine side but adding the little scallops, well it doesn't make it very masculine..but nonetheless I think it turned out okay.

Okay, so this is one of the very first things I ordered in the new catalog and can't say enough about the quality of this stamp for having so many intricut spaces on it. We stamped it in Versamark and embossed it in Winter White Embossing powder. It's just simply lovely! Another one of our August cards.

Am so going to miss this set of sentiments!(Tommorrow is the LAST day to own this HOSTESS set) Love the font! I have to say (as if I hadn't already) tht Flower Fest is one of my FAVES! And the great thing is, IT"S IN THE 2011/12 IBC! WHOOHOO! I used my Brights on this card in which I have been doing alot more with lately! Canvas Clipboard

I made this clipboard using canvas paper that I applied to the clipboard, then spritzed with Smooch Spray in gold, then I sponged the outer edges with Soft Suede. I stamp the swirls from Boroque Motif in Soft Suede and the words too. I then cut the daisies from Daiseys #2 die and used SU! 5/8th Nuetral brads in the centers. Then finished it off by pleating some Baja Breeze Seam binding.

Anyway, I had fun with the fall call, and will hoard this card forever I'm sure.

French Foilage

Fall is my favorite time of year because I can't handle the heat and I don't like the cold. These two sets are my favorite fall sets ever! French Foilage and Grateful Greetings. I used an acrylic block for the shadow stamp and then masked everything off to get a clean image. I then did a loopdeedo with ribbon around it.

All Day Downline Event

I had my first all day event with my downline this month when I got back from Convention and I was pumped! I have a small downline right now, but plan to make that all change this year! I spoiled them with gifts handmade, gifts from Convention and even made them brownies in a jar with homemade ganache! Anyway we stamped all day, and ate.....and went over some "business" as we stamped. It was so fun! We plan to do it again in the fall/winter for the holidays! CANNOT WAIT! Here is some of the things I did for them!

I think that was one of the MOST sought after hostess sets I have ever encountered as a SU! demo....I have had people actually tell me that they are hosting a workshop JUST to get this set! This is one of the FIRST cards we made last July with the new catalog at card class. That was along with the GORGEOUS Cherry Cobbler we got last year! Can't get enough of that color!

So at the end of this month, we say GOODBYE to LOTS of stamps sets to make room for all the wonderful NEW ONES! Sadly, this is one that will be retiring! I submitted this card to a publishing company, but it was rejected, so I am sharing it here.

I used the Brushed Gold cardstock and paper pieced the wine glass and punched out stars, (which I see that punch is retiring too! )

I just got the MDS CD from the Summer Mini(the hostess one) called Cheerful Treats! LOVE IT! Anyway, while trying to keep my stamp room clean today, I need my fix with "stamping" so I sat and played on my MDS today. Okay, so I was shopping at a scrapbook store and noticed they had corrugated sheets of cardboard, but I thought they were pricey. Well, I decided, why not use what I have sitting at home in my recycling area....YEP! THE STAMPIN' UP! boxes....I sat down one evening for half and hour and just tore them down to get what I wanted....then I came in and immediatley had to try and run it through the Big Shot to see if it "squished" it, and NOPE, not a squish at all. And yes, I used my favorite die, Fun Flowers! Enjoy!

Fun Flowers for a Friend

I had a customer who asked me to make the flowers from stamp camp for her friend that is in the hospital. I wanted to make the bright and cheery, so I made them with Daffodil Delight. I sponged the edges with Tangerine tango. I love running these flowers through the Big Shot with embossing folders...the possiblitlies are endless.

I had a customer request GREEN APPLE GREEN , Black and White for her colors for her wedding, and since we don't have that, I had to go shopping elsewhere for that...but I am please with how they came out. I used Artistic Etchings (crown) and a retired set for the sentiment, but she just loved the embossing! Talk about a hard color to match ribbon and paper for...and now my daughter wants the same colors! She calls it "Monster" (as in the energy drink) green....this will be fun!

So, I have to say that making these ribbon "rosettes" back at Convention is one of my favorite things to make out of ribbon. I have had the Perfect Setting die for over a year and just opened this past March! Yeah, I know...HOARDER! Anyway, I made this cupcake and the top opens up so that you can put a little something in it..I put an incentive stamp and ink spot in mine.

Easter Blossom Big Shot Easter basket

I made this basket using the Scallop Oval Frame die and my Big shot and the Square Lattice embossing folder. I just cut off a small peice of the oval to sit level and then I used the Scallop Frame and cut it in half to make the handle. I then cut a box from the Box #2 die and sliced off the lid and glued it into the middle of the two ovals.

So, I had my third BigShot stamp camp this past month and a 4th in the making....and this was one of the baskets we made from the Two Tags die. I love this die, so much more versitile than you can imagine. And this bunny, I just can't get enough of him.....look at that cottonball tail!
