You're the (Balloon Bash) Bomb!

So, every month, I TRY to find at least one card that uses our fantastic product in an "out of the box" way.  I saw a card made with the Balloon as a "bomb", so I decided that how cute that would be to get them another use for that awesome Balloon Bash bundle.  I was a little "crabobbled" after I had designed and cut for all of my card classes in March to find out that this beauty of a die set was on BACKORDER! So, imagine my sadness, when I had to tell everyone that this set wasn't orderable at the time( I believe it IS now, so if you are interested, contact me, I'm offering FREE shipping today and tommorrow ONLY!)
I chose the color scheme from my Color Cards(another must have)and decided I needed to switch up some colors that don't get as much love as they should, so Island Indigo, Calyspo Coral, Soft Sky and Crushed Curry are my choices for this card.
I stamped out the dots from the Balloon Bash set in Soft Sky on Soft  Sky card stock.  I stamped out the teeny tiny stars in Crushed Curry and the words in Calyspo Coral and Island Indigo.  I sponged the edges of the "balloon" that  I cut out using Basic Black card stock with Whisper White ink. I used White Baker's Twine colored at the tip with the Crushed Curry marker for the fuse. I punched out Gold Glimmer Paper stars with the Itty bitty Star punch.
I think they liked this one alot and if I had been able to sell the bundle at the time, I think I could have sold at least 5...maybe now that they are back in stock, I will! Thanks for stopping by!

For Peep's Sake II

Here's another take on the stamp set that I posted yesterday.  For Peep's Sake is one of my favorite Easter stamp sets that Stampin' UP! has offered, ever! I'm not a huge "fan" of punch art, but I wanted to try my hand at it and I saw a bunny that I thought was doable and not too "intense" to do. I stamped out the Happy Easter in Pistachio Pudding ink onto Pistachio Pudding cardstock.
I used the following punches: Wide Oval(face/head/chest), Large Oval and Word Window Punch(ears), Modern Label Punch(carrot), Owl Punch(heart-nose and "hands").  I drew on the eyes and whiskers with the PL Journaling Pen.
I used up some of my Tangerine Tango Twine to wrap around and fray out the ends. Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by.

For Peep's Sake

Well HELLO! Long time no blog...so very sorry.  It seems yet another month is flying by and thankfully we are into spring now so maybe I will feel like being "social" on here.
Before March totally gets away, I better get my cards from March card classes on here! I will start with my Easter cards so that I don't forget all together to show them before Easter is here and gone.
This first one is my favorite.  I adapted it from Allison O's card, I did it in all different colors and added several things from hers.  I started with Daffodil and layered it with Tempting Turqoise that I ran through the Big Shot using the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder.  I covered half of the bottom of that with Old Olive that I cut "grass" into with the Fringe Scissors.  I stamped out the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a piece of Whisper White and flagged the bottom.
I colored the egg stamp with Melon Mambo and Old Olive Markers and stamped under the sentiment and then added some Crystal Effects to them to make them pop out.
I stamped out the little chick in Daffodil Delight ink and punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle punch and layered it onto a Melon Mambo Scallop Circle.  I finished it all off by stamping the "for peep's sake" in Momento Black.
