Stamp a Stack Card #3-Graduation

Here's card number 3 from our Stamp a Stack.  It's a graduation card and I really liked how it came out!  I started with a Smokey Slate base adn layered a Basic Black onto it, and a piece of Whisper White ran through the Big Shot with the Stars embossing folder on to that.  I strung some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine onto the whole thing and added a Silver Glitter Itty Bitty Star from Silver Glimmer DSP in the center of the twine.
I cut a larger star from the same Glitter paper and a star that was stamped with Momento Black ink onto WW card stock and cut out, both using the Star Framelits.  I used the stamp set Be The Star for the card, first time inked..lol to stamp out the sentiments.
Sorry it's a quick post, if you have any questions let me know, it's pretty simple, but I didn't realize until right before the bus arrives from school that I hadn't posted today.
Thanks for stopping by!

Occasions Stamp A Stack Card #2 Baby Bundle

This is my second favorite card we made for the stamp a stack.  I started with a Soft Suede base and then added a piece of Pear Pzazz DSP from the Patterns Pack down on the Soft Suede.
I added the DSP first because I ran the layer of Whisper White through the Big Shot using the Baby Boutique Framelits and THEN through the Large Polka Dots folder but I added the DSP first because I used Dimensionals to bump up the top layer over it.  I punched out a Real Red Heart and added a Basic Pearl to the inside. Before I adhered that layer down, I threaded a piece of Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon around the cut out and tied a bow.
I stamped out the Pear Pzazz onto Whisper White, using the Label Love and then again with the same stamp, using Real Red and punching out using the Artisan Label and the 7/8" Scallop punch and popped the center up with Dimensionals.
Well, tommorrow I will showcase another card from SAS. Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp a Stack Card #1

One of my favorite classes to hold is my All Occasions Stamp a Stack.  I do 5 occasions, Wedding, Baby, Thank You, Sympathy and Graduation.  This is the wedding card we did and I think it's my favorite one.  Simple! I layered up Whisper White that I ran the bottom half through the Big Shot using the Flower Garden embossing folder.  I added a strip of Gold Soriee DSP over the "seam" (where the embossing stopped) to give it a little pop.  I crinkled up half of a Doiley and glued it down. (Sorry, this was tucked under the strip of DSP first).  Then I tied a piece of Gold Bakers Twine around the front layer and tied it into a bow.
I stamped out the Mr and Mrs from From the New Two that is found in the Occasions Mini catalog, with Momento Black ink onto Whisper White card stock and punched it out using the 2" Circle Punch.  I layered it onto a 2 1/2" circle of Basic Black card stock. I punched out little flowers using Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower and Brushed Gold card stock and sticking some Basic Pearls in the centers of each.

I love the DSP...I hate that it will retire, most likely, but I will keep a couple of sheets around for wedding cards...
Well, I'm off to work on April card class, it's starts only 3 days from now and I have one more card to design before I can prep.  Thanks for stopping in..I will be showing all 5 of our cards from the SAS this week!

Berry Basket Alternate Part II

Well, here it is, the day before Easter and I think I have everything posted that I was intending too before it came and went.  I made these for a group of ladies that have been in my club for 11 of my 13 years as a demonstrator! It's another alternate to the Berry Basket Die(another one I showed yesterday). This one I just cut one basket, scored once down the middle and then folded it up to make the middle to hold a little bag of M&Ms....
I used some FREE items from SAB to decorate them...I have  tons of buttons and ribbon so I may make some for Mother's Day/May Day Baskets...
Gotta run, told you it would be short and sweet the next couple of days, but I got a game of Life to play!

Berry Basket Alternate

Well, I have a couple more Easter projects to show and am running out of time, so this post will be short and sweet because I have one grandson today and need to spend lots of time with him before he heads home tommorrow.  This past weekend I had a workshop and as soon as I saw this Berry Basket Die, I knew it wouldn't be long before someone had found more uses for it than it's original use, as a basket.
I ran the die through and cut ONE (not two as you would for a basket) from Soft Suede.  I cut it in half (so you can make two cards from one die cut), and then scored it 1/4" from the original score line on the die.  I stamped out the Hardwood stamp on the front of it to make it a little more realistic. I used the scallop piece that cuts at the same time as the die and counted out 16 scallops and stapled it onto the basket front with three scallops hanging over each edge to use as an "anchor" to hold it to the card front. I wrapped some ribbon around it after I glued it down and tied the bow.  I stamped out the chick from the For Peep's Sake and layered it onto Calypso Coral Scallop.
I stamped out the Happy Hoppy Easter from the stamp set also and then stamped the garden pick from the From the Garden stamp set(CUTE STAMP SET, VERY VERSATILE!) and then cut it with the coordinating dies! I used Dimensionals to pop it up.
This card would be cute for may basket cards and instead of chocolate, stick in some flower seeds.
Well, I will be back tommorrow for the rest of my Easter projects then on to my All Ocassion Stamp a Stack cards.

Party Animals!

So, I'm slow as usual in getting my blog posts done.  Busy busy!  Here is another card from March card class.  I wanted to use this set because it's right up my alley...most days I feel like I'm amongst the animals..lol- in a good way.  This is the stamp set From the Herd and it's just comical.  I wanted to make a simple card with it since my attendance between three different classes is big now and time is always an issue.  So, I left it black and white for the most part(no coloring).  I layered Pink Pirouette over Whisper White card base, and then another layer of Whisper White that I ran through the Large Polka Dot embossing folder.
I stamped out the animals in Momento Black and used my Two Way Glue Pen to "color" in some of the animals and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds onto them.  (It appears I may have colored outside the lines-oops..)  I layered them onto a Basic Gray circle (that really is straight on there, my angle of my shot is crooked-imagine that) using my 2 1/2" Circle Punch.  I stamped the balloon twice, masking off the first one, and then stamping onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and cutting out.  Using a Dimensional to pop it out, I then added some Crystal Effects.
I wrapped some Basic Gray Bakers Twine around the top layer and then stamped and punched out the sentiment using the Modern Label Punch and Word Window Punch.  I flagged a couple pieces of So Saffron and added them behind the words.
Well, it's allergy season, full force for me, so I'm going to go take a nap while the fantastic 70 degree breeze blows in on me...Have a great Wednesday.

You're the (Balloon Bash) Bomb!

So, every month, I TRY to find at least one card that uses our fantastic product in an "out of the box" way.  I saw a card made with the Balloon as a "bomb", so I decided that how cute that would be to get them another use for that awesome Balloon Bash bundle.  I was a little "crabobbled" after I had designed and cut for all of my card classes in March to find out that this beauty of a die set was on BACKORDER! So, imagine my sadness, when I had to tell everyone that this set wasn't orderable at the time( I believe it IS now, so if you are interested, contact me, I'm offering FREE shipping today and tommorrow ONLY!)
I chose the color scheme from my Color Cards(another must have)and decided I needed to switch up some colors that don't get as much love as they should, so Island Indigo, Calyspo Coral, Soft Sky and Crushed Curry are my choices for this card.
I stamped out the dots from the Balloon Bash set in Soft Sky on Soft  Sky card stock.  I stamped out the teeny tiny stars in Crushed Curry and the words in Calyspo Coral and Island Indigo.  I sponged the edges of the "balloon" that  I cut out using Basic Black card stock with Whisper White ink. I used White Baker's Twine colored at the tip with the Crushed Curry marker for the fuse. I punched out Gold Glimmer Paper stars with the Itty bitty Star punch.
I think they liked this one alot and if I had been able to sell the bundle at the time, I think I could have sold at least 5...maybe now that they are back in stock, I will! Thanks for stopping by!
