St. Patrick's Day Leprachaun Hat

Wow! What a busy month I am having...a GOOD busy once again, but I didn't realize how long it's been since I just stamped for fun.  Today it was my mission to "practice what I always preach" to others, STAMPING is THERAPY, so go stamp something!  I needed some therapy lately....I handmade this template(and learned that  template maker I am not! lol) and just decorated it. Now, I am part Irish and I would be very bad if I didn't post at least ONE thing I made for St. Patrick's Day so here's the first one. Tomorrow I will post the make and take we made at my last workshop, so stay tuned.
I used Old Olive cardstock along with some Basic Black and some Brushed Gold. I punched out 4 small hearts and folded them in half and sponged the edges and then glued them down and pulled them up to give them dimension. I then added a Gold Glitter Brad in the middle. Stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes(which I earned FREE a few years ago during SAB), sponged the edges and popped up on dimensionals.

Sweets for the Sweet

Seems like forever that I have posted! I have been REALLY busy, a good busy, but REALLY busy!  Anyone I had to look in my picture files to actually find something to share...lol, here is a card I made with the stamp set Sweets for the Sweet.  I randomly stamped onto Melon Mambo cardstock with Melon Mambo ink. Then I ran a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  I stamped the same piece of candy onto a scrap of white and punched it out with a circle punch(can't remember which one it's been so long ago) and then I glued a lollipop stick to the back of it.  I then cut off a small baggie (from the jewelery making section at the store) to place over the top of the candy to look wrapped.  I tied a black piece of 1/4 grosgrain ribbon around it and stuck it all down. I then stamped the sentiment and punched it out and layered it onto Melon Mambo circle and Basic Black Scallop Circle.

Cupcake Holders

Okay, so a baker of presentation, I am not! BUT, I figured I could make some cupcakes for displaying in these, but no such luck, they look so terrible. I guess it's the thought that counts and the taste right? lol Anyway, I made these for Valentines Day and left them simple because I just sometimes like simple and to the point.  I used the Pennant Punch and some different DSP.  I love the Baker's Twine and that Small Heart Punch is one of my favorites! And yep, used that P.S. I Love You set from the Occasions Mini, LOVE IT!  Anyway, here they are....

Blossom Love Bugs

These are the Valentines for Jenna's class.  I started by covering clothespins with Real Red pattern (Bold Brights Pattern Pack Designer Series Paper).  I used the Mixed Bunch Stamp set and Blossom Punch from the Occasions Mini catalog to make the love bugs.  I stamped a flower onto white cardstock in black ink, then punched out the flower and trimmed off a section of them on each side.  I then punched out a 3/4 circle of Silver Glitter paper and glued it down to the center using Mono Multi Glue and adhered the eyes.  The hardest part of these was "seperating" the Skittles to place the clothespin in between, there seemed to be extra air in some of the bags.  Anyway, I added the magnets on the back so that after the candy is gone, they can use it on the fridge to hold photos, artwork, etc.  Jenna is getting so good at spelling/writing, she has GREAT teachers!

Rosette Fabric Rings

I made these rings for Valentines day, I gave them out to one of my daughter's and two of her "single" friends...I adore them both like my own.  I enjoy making non card items and will be selling these at a Ladies Only Expo in May...I cannot wait to get going on more! I used SU! fabrics from the Beau Chateau and Deck the Halls series and of course, the NEW Large Pearls from the Occasions Mini catalog...

More Cherries!

I LOVE this stamp set, Button Buddies!  This is my second card I have made with the set, and this time I used the Cherry Scented Embossing Powder that we have in the Occasions Mini.  I also used the stamps set A Word For You.  I love the font on that stamp set....anyway, I punched out the sentiment after I stamped it on Crumb Cake cardstock with the Wide Oval Punch and sponged the edges with Early Expresso ink and attached it over the top of of a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon stapled to it and onto some Dimensionals.

Heart Framelit Hanging Boxes

I made these for my daughter's three teachers for Valentines Day.  I used the Large Heart Framelit and cut it twice, then the next size smaller to cut each piece of Designer Series Paper(I used a Christmas one from this past Holiday Mini-retired now, purple one with dots is from the pack of Sweet Shoppe in the CURRENT Occasions Mini, and the red floral one at the bottom is from Twitterpatted, which is also from the CURRENT Occasions Mini. I then made my flowers from punching 5 Scallop Circles and scrunching them, open them back up and add a brad, then pull each layer up again to achieve the look you like, then glue dot it down to the top heart.  I made the middle of the basket by cutting a piece of cardstock to 4x8, and scoring in the middle(long way) at 4", then each long side at 1/2", fold each score line, and fold into a "V" shape and glue one heart to each side. I just cut a handle to the size I like and attached it with Sticky Strip tape.  Finished size of these baskets are 5 1/2 x 5" (not including the handle).
