Roomate Gifts cont.~

This is basically the easiest gift I made. It's a big canister of Tootsie Rolls that I wrapped in Candy Cane DSP. That's it. I added some Real Red strips of card stock at the top and bottom because the canister looked unfinished without it for some reason. I stamped out the sentiment from Candy Cane stamp set, punched it out with the retired 2 1/2" circle punch and adhered it to the Real Red banner that I flagged with the Triple Banner Punch. I added two Early Expresso hearts to it using the Owl Builder Punch.
Sorry that the quality of this photo is not so good. I took them at night (almost forgot to get pics of them at all that is why I took them at night). This is a Clear Tiny Treat Box that I wrapped Candy Cane DSP inside and added some chocolate inside. I threaded some Kraft Rope through the lid and made it so that you could make them into ornaments or decorations to hang. Again, using the same stamp set as above, finished off the box.

And this one is an "origami" treat holder. Just folded and folded. Easy peasey- I found the chocolate penquin at our local dollar store and thought he'd be cute sticking out of this.  I always have fun making gifts to give away. I have my first vendor show in 4 years coming up, so I will be working really hard here soon to get MORE lovely things put together for that. Can't wait to play! Hope you have a super weekend. I will be back Monday with some other things to post. Thanks for stopping!

More Gift ideas~

So, as I said in my previous post, I made roommate gifts to give when I traveled this past weekend to Kansas City for Onstage for SU!  I posted the group of gifts yesterday and today, I wanted to share them individually so that you know what they are. This first one is a package of microwave popcorn. All it is a piece of Early Expresso Card Stock with a piece of Candy Cane DSP glued to it and then wrapped around the bag of popcorn. I stamped out a tag and tied it on with the Candy Cane Baker's Twine.
This little gem is exactly that.  Now, before I went to OnStage, I thought Tic Tacs could NOT get any smaller. Was I wrong....This is a Tic Tac Slider box.  EASY PEASY to make. I stamped with my sponge daubers in Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake card stock and then wrapped it around the Tic Tag box to get some score lines and glued it together. Then I wrapped a piece of Tip Top Taupe robbin around the Tic Tac box and tied it at the top with more baker's twine and dropped it down into the card stock box. Viola!
Here it is with the Tic Tacs pulled completely out. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Cookie Cutter Christmas and stuck it to the front over a Real Red Large heart.

Stampin' Up! OnStage-Kansas City

Wow~ What a weekend! This past weekend I traveled to Kansas City for OnStage for Stampin' Up! and wanted to post all the things that I made for my roomie and my friend who wasn't able to room with us but met up with me for the convention.

I will show you one or two a day because there is a lot of photos to share. This one is a bottle of sparkling apple cider with a tag that I made using the Cheerful Tags and Framelits. If you don't have this bundle, you NEED it! These tags are so easy to make and so quick!
I used Gold Satin Ribbon to loop it around the neck of the bottle.

Sheltering Tree~

Good Monday morning! Today's card is a card we made at September's card class. I started by layering Crushed Curry and Island Indigo.  I ran the Crumb Cake piece through the Big Shot using the Leaf Framelits to cut out a negative space.  I stamped the Sheltering Tree in Early Expresso and Pumpkin Pie and stuck it behind the negative space.
I stamped out the thank you from the stamp stet Tin of Tags  in Pumpkin Pie ink onto Whisper White and punched it out using the 1 3/4" circle punch and adhered it to an Island Indigo 2" circle with Dimensionals. I punched out the acorn using Soft Suede card stock and the Acorn Builder punch and then punched out the top of the nut using Gold Glitter paper and tying a bow of Linen Thread to the top. I liked how it turned out and I think most of the ladies liked this card the best of all of them.
Gotta run! I have tons to do before I can head to Kansas City this weekend for OnStage with Stampin'UP! CANNOT WAIT!

Detailed Floral Framelits set~

Hello Friday! I'm sharing with you today a group of projects that I made at another workshop recently that I had wanted to make for some time and finally got around to making! This is a tea light holder and candy holder (could hold 2-3 votive candles too) made with some scoring and using the Detailed Floral Framelits.
This one is half a piece of card stock scored and then the die lined up with the edges and cut.  You simply fold it up and tie it shut. I stamped the tag using the stamp set Candy Cane Christmas from the Holiday Catalog. I used Gold Satin Ribbon to tie it shut.
This candle holder is super simple to make. It is a piece of card stock cut to 4 x 8 1/4" and scored on the long side at 2,4,6 and 8.  Then on one short side at 2". Place the die in the center of each scored panel as close to each one and the bottom 2" score line without touching it. Then you will cut up to the 2" score line to make flaps to assemble your holder.
I added a piece of Gold Glimmer paper to hide a boo boo.
Well, I'm off to start swaps for OnStage Kansas City a week from tomorrow. So much to do so little time

Envelope Punch Board Boxes

Good morning! Today I wanted to share the boxes I showed at my last workshop. I pulled out the Envelope Punch Board (because it's been neglected a lot these past few months) and showed my attendees how to much more with the EPB.  So, I decided the "half" cracker box was a good one to show. Simple and endless possibilities.  I wanted to also use the DSP, since it is ON SALE this month! I used the Candy Cane DSP pack for the first box.
For the fun tag on the front, I pulled out my Jolly Friends Bundle and made the santa and hat. I used the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper for the brim of the hat and then some Mono Liquid Glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the beard.  I added a sweet Mini Jingle Bell to the end of his hat and then tied the box shut with the Gold Satin Ribbon.
This one I wanted to share that you can also use card stock to make them. I used the Emerald Envy card stock.
I used the Candy Cane Christmas stamps on this one. I stamped the trees randomly all over the box and then assembled it. I used the Layering Circles or the Dapper Denim layer and Whisper White for stamping the tree onto.
I tied this one shut with the Gold 1/4" Cotton Ribbon.
I'm on my way out the door, so this one is short and to the point. As always, you can leave a comment or email me if you have any questions.
Have a super Thursday!
