This is the candy bar wrapper I had chosen for the current Holiday Cards and More publication out in stores right now. I got orders to make 4 of these for a friend and 25 for another! I better get started, Christmas is right around the corner....YIKES!
I have seen these boxes being made all over the place and me being a completely easily impressed person, I thought I would try one. I used Poppy Parade and Pear Pzazz cardstock. I then cut a box from the Box #2 die and put it together and glued in between two stocking cut outs. EASY PEASY! That's just another reason you need a Big Shot, it makes so many things so much faster!
So, yesterday I had a all day event for my downline again. I think we are going to definatley try this quarterly! We had a nice cozy time. For lunch I served them Loaded Baked Potato soup in Bread bowls, Ceasar Salad and I mad a Caramel Apple Cheesecake. After lunch, we went into my stamp room and crafted the rest of the afternoon. I gave them each a box (one from the Holiday Mini) that I decorated with Spice Cake DSP and some craft wire and inside I put a homemade sugar scrub inside. I served them their drinks in wine gobblets with wine charms I personalized for each one. We even did a handmade gift exchange and card swap! (Those photos are to come later)
So, here are some of the photos I took of the projects.
This is a test tube holder that we made........ this is Jill Hilliard's cookie packaging box idea....(THANK YOU JILL)- was planning on baking the cookies too with them but my recipe just wouldn't work...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr The extended candy wrapper box that I wanted to show them last time, but got it to them this time! I wanted to show them how to make the rosettes on the front...I hope they liked them. These are FABULOUS boxes in the Holiday Mini and those buttons, yeah, may just have to "hoarder" some more before the mini is expired. These were the wine charms...... And I showed them (or attempted to show them...lol-they know what I am talking about) the view master card!
I have a blast with them and they are so fun to be around! I was treated to "crack" corn and decorated white chocolate dipped pretzels too.....thank you girls!
I am a SAHM and I have 4 girls. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 19 years. I have been a Stampin'Up! demonstrator for going on 9 years this summer and love it very much. Along with stamping, I try to scrapbook and love spending time with family and friends.
