Love and Laughter

We have a wedding to attend today, and I knew about it for months...but somehow, I "forgot" that being a cardmaker, I PROBABLY should make a card to give? So, this morning, I whipped out this pretty little thing. I will forever keep this stamp set whether it retires or not, because it makes it so easy to just make a quick card, and that is what this is. I used Whisper White throught the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, and tied a Black Satin bow around it.  I stamped the gown onto Whisper White with Basic Black ink and punched out a little Pink Pirouette flower and adhered it to the dress and yes, had to add a Basic Pearl.  I then stamped the Congratualtions from the same stamp set on Pink Pirouette cardstock and hand cut it out and added some dimensionals to the back and pearls to the front.  This set is only available for 2 more weeks in the Occassions Mini catalog!

Button Buddies Pig

Okay, so I just wanted to share with you the switched up version of my card to the one I saw from Carrie Gaskin.  I changed all the colors and stamps(except the pig from Button Buddies).  I even switched up the embossing folders. I used the Snowburst on the Night of Navy cardstock, the Crimper in two directions on the Old Olive, and crinkled the Cherry Cobbler and spritzed the whole thing with Shimmer Mist paint.  I used the Bring on the Cake stamp set and stamped the word cake in Night of Navy onto Old Olive cardstock and cut it out.  I used the Pennant Punch for the hat and sliced off the bottom part to make it shorter and more narrow. I randomly stamped a circle from Circle Circus on the Olive panel.

Summer Smooches Milk Carton box

Can I say how much these colors in the Summer Smooches collection just make me look forward to summer? Well, they do! I made this just for fun the other day by using the Milk Carton die and a template I have had for a long time to hold the milk cartons inside.  I used Daffodil Delight to make the milk cartons, then wrapped a piece of DSP around them.  I tied the box up with the Summer Smooches fabric and punched out a coordinating piece of DSP for the tag.  I then added a pearl to the flower center and tied it all on to the fabric using White Baker's Twine.
