A Fitting Occasion for an Owl

So, I got the inspiration from a shoebox swap I recently attended, came home and was trying to come up with some class ideas, but just couldn't get this one to work for me. I like it, but it's not my favorite card ever...however, I figured I took long enough on it, that I better just show it.  I had to have the stamp set A Fitting Occasion from the new catalog in June, but then I got it, and couldn't figure out what I was going to do with it. So, thankfully, with some inspiration from my swap, I came up with this.  I used the Owl Punch and the Floral District DSP for her chest. I stamped in Lucky Limeade ink onto Whisper White cardstock the label and the party hat, and cut it out.  I stamped directly onto Lucky Limeade cardstock the Happy Birthday and punched it out, and then added a matching piece of DSP in the center.  And DON'T you JUST LOVE that Woodgrain Embossing folder? I love it for sure!

Hello~ Back to School inspired

I made this card a while back and it just reminds me of back to school..jeans~ I used Crumb Cake and Night of Navy for the background and jeans.  I then punched out some Pretty in Pink Boho Flowers and layered them, adding a gold brad to the center.  I stamped the Hello from Tiny Tags and tucked it under the handmade pocket.  I wanted to give some "stitching" so I used my White Signo Gel pen to add some stitches and then some more brads on the corners. I used the Word Window punch for the belt loops and the Lattice Embossing folder for the texture.
