Henry Says-Happy Birthday Shaker Card

I have been trying to ink up stamp sets that I bought because I just had to have and then "forgot" about, etc...well, what a perfect time to pull something out when you HAVE to come up with stuff for a workshop and fittingly for a hostess who has a precious baby boy who was turning a year old that weekend!   I inked up Henry the elephant in Basic Black ink and stamped him out on a polka dot piece of paper from the Print Poetry Paper Pack and fussy cut him out(fussy cut just means I used my good ole' fashioned scissors and hands to cut- no punches or dies) and adhered him to the front of the card front which was made from Summer Starfruit cardstock ran through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder and then a piece of the Two Toned Gray Ribbon(all the products are in the Spring Mini that will expire on May 31st!)  Then I pulled out my Shaker Frames, in which are terribly neglected.  I forgot how much fun they are!!!  I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and adhered it down.  I then pulled off the second largest Shaker Frame from the package and adhered it over the sentiment, added some Champagne Glass Glitter and then punched out a 1 3/8" circle from the Midnight Muse cardstock and then glued a piece of window sheet to the back of it and then down onto the Shaker Frame(they are self adhesive). VIOLA! A shaker card! I will definatley be using these more now that I remember how much fun they are! Don't miss out on these products before they are gone!

Blue Ribbon Graduation

One of our cards for April card class was geared towards graduation, since I seem to get told the day before or OF, that my husband needs several for students so I came up with a basic one that you could change colors accordingly to school pretty easily.  This one in particular is done in Elegant Eggplant, Basic Gray and Black. I randomly stamped the Congrats Grad in Basic Gray onto Basic Gray cardstock, and then stamped the ribbon from the stamp set Blue Ribbon in Elegant Eggplant onto Whisper White cardstock and  punched out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and popped it up using Dimensionals  and then stamped the ribbon flags in the same ink and fussy cut them with my scissors and adhered it to the underneath of the ribbon.  I ran a piece of Silver Glimmer paper through the Apothecary Framelits and adhered it under the ribbon and punched out a couple of Basic Black stars using the Itty Bitty shapes punches and used Dimensionals to adhere them to the Glimmer paper.   All my classes had different school colors so we changed out the colors in 3 classes using Pumpkin Pie and Real Red for some of them too.  It was neat to see how it could be changed up so quickly.
