Happy Birthday Butterfly!

This is the card I made for my sister's birthday over a week ago, and I didn't get to see her and give it to her until two days ago, so I can now post it.  I go all out for her because she too loves making cards and is very good at it. I stamped out the Dictionary background in Soft Suede onto Whisper White card stock that I layered onto Melon Mambo. I layered a piece of the Fancy Foil Vellum onto both of those first layers to soften it up a bit.
Then I cut a beautiful butterfly from the Butterfly Framelits from Gold Glimmer paper and punched a smaller one from the Small Butterfly punch from Patterned Prints DSP pack using a sheet of Old Olive.  I clipped a clothespin to the butterflies and then all of it to a piece of that gorgeous Sahara Sand Lace trim.
I stamped out Happy Birthday from Labels of Love stamp set in Old Olive ink and punched it out using the matching punch. I punched out two more  in Melon Mambo and layered them behind that to make it a little brighter and then stuck it all down to a Wide Oval Gold Glitter paper layer.
I used another piece of Saraha Sand Lace trim at the bottom of the card and then tied a small piece of 1/8th Gold Taffeta Ribbon in a knot around it. LOVE how this card came out! I hope she did too. Well, I gotta run, heading north for squeezing on my baby grandson! Have a great weekend!

Hello Sunshine!

Good Thursday! This card makes me feel so happy! Not only is it cheery, it reminds me of what the day is like here!  It's a really simple card, but has alot of effect. I layered up Pool Party with So Saffron cardstock that I embossed with the Zig Zag embossing folder.  I layered a piece of Whisper White onto those two layers and stamped the "sun" from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in So Saffron.  I cut a Hello from the Thinlets from Pool Party card stock and used my Two Way Glue Pen to adhere it to the front.
I stamped the "sunshine" in Pool Party ink from the stamp set Crazy About You that is in the Ocassions Mini. I punched a Itty Bitty Pansy out of Rose Red and stuck a Basic Rhinestone on the front.
Tommorrow I will post my last card from April class before heading north to my grandbaby's 1st birthday!

B.Y.O.P Gift Card Holder

So, I wanted so badly to us this stamp set for class soon enough for them to get and idea for Graduations coming up.  I decided to use up some DSP also because knowing that every year it all retires, I may as well. So, I picked a DSP with lots of different color and I chose Confetti Celebration to start with.  I layered up Whisper White with Basic Gray, Crushed Curry and then another piece of Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot using the Tiny Triangles embossing folder.  I added a piece of Tangerine Tango and then the strip of DSP before I finished the gift card holder.

So for the gift card, I used my Envelope Punch Board and made the gift card holder out of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped out the B.Y.O.P in Momento Black onto Bermuda Bay cardstock and adhered it to the open flap of the holder and snipped the corner that hung out the bottom. I added a strip of Gold DSP to make it pop a bit.  I glued some Gold Baker's Twine to the backside of the holder and stuck it all down to the front of the card to be able to tie it shut.
I stamped out the "buy your own present" at the bottom of the holder in Momento Black ink.

Love You More Than Chocolate! (CASE)

As soon as I saw this card (that I did tweek ever so little) originally designed by Kim Williams, I knew it would be in my cards for April card class.  I love the WHOLE stamp set Amazingly Yours(Photopolymer- not in any books but one that is available-contact me if you are interested)! I layered up Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral cardstock.  I took my Whisper White layer to my Simply Scored Tool and scored all four edges at 1/4".  I then flipped it over so the raised line was my front.
My cupcakes are made from the stamp set Cupcake Party, I stamped out the Calypso Coral and Metallic Gold one(Metallic Gold ink pad and reinker are RETIRING as of today!) :( and then the Blushing Bride one I just punched straight from the card stock, no stamping.  I punched out 3/4" Circles of Chocolate Chip and adhered them behind the cupcake papers and popped them all up. I added Glimmer Gold DSP hearts made from the Hearts Border Punch to each chocolate. I only added one bow in Gold Baker's Twine to one chocolate.
Then I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and punched out one more heart from the same border punch in Calypso Coral.
