Hostess Appreciation Party -Watermelon Baskets

First, I must apologize for these photos...somewhere, my STARBURST candies disappeared before I took photos...lol.  This is a sweet little basket I had the girls make out of all sorts of stuff. We started by using Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White and Melon Mambo DSP from the Pattern Pack and running each through a layer of Circle Framelits and gluing them together and slicing them in half.  The box was made from a small piece of card stock( I can't remember the measurements at this time) and was nestled in between the watermelon slices.  Strips of the same color card stocks were cut to form a handle and attached between the box and watermelon.
The outside, I had made the flowers from Crushed Curry and the Boho Blossoms punch and the centers from Baked Brown Sugar and Gold Glimmer paper.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Nuts About You, stamped in Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White card stock and punched out with the 1" circle punch.  I added  a  Melon Mambo heart from the Heart Border Punch and then tied on some Linen Thread to finish it off.  These were super simple to make and I guess the candy inside was a winner too!
Have a great Saturday!

Washi Tape Balloon- Hostess Appreciation Party Part III

Got up this morning and couldn't believe we were in July! Wow! I, the one who sweats as soon as she is out of the shower is cold! But, I love it! Will not complain.
Wanted to share the another card we did for our HAP.  I started by layering up a Pistachio Pudding with Whisper White and then another Crisp Cantaloupe layer with the Large Dots embossing folder.  I die cut an Oval from the Oval Framelits and covered it with Sweet Sadie and then for the bottom of the balloon(where you blow it up- in a real balloon), I used the Modern Label punch. I added a piece of White Baker's Twine to resemble the string. I tied a piece of Pistachio Pudding Twine into a bow and stuck it on the bottom of the balloon.  I stamped out the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Tag Talk in Momento Black ink and punching out with the Bracket Punch.  I popped up the balloon on Dimensionals.  Well, I'm off to have lunch with a fellow Demo, whom I've not meant in person, but figured she lives 40 minutes away from me and shouldn't have to meet her 1200 miles away for the first time at Convention.  LOL!
Well, have a great Wednesday! Two weeks from today, I'll be in SLC! EEEK!

Cupcake Party- Hostess Appreciation Party Part II

I am sad to say it is official, no Hawaii...BUT, BUT....I just learned last night that Debbie Henderson, one of my idols, is going to Washington DC, OMG! I get to meet her in person!  And the reason I bring this up first in my post, THIS CARD was inspired BY HER! I KNOW RIGHT?  So, I saw a card she did using this fold and she did it in flowers, but I looked at it and thought how cute would it be to make a bakery store front?  So, I started out by using Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and scoring it to make the base.  I then cut the Window Sheet down to fit in between the front fold and top fold.  I cut a piece of Baked Brown Sugar DSP from the Patterns Pack and punched along the edges using the Scallop Border Punch to become the "awning".
For the bottom half of the "storefront",  I used the new Gold Soriee DSP! IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I glued a piece of it in front of the Window Sheet to hide the seam and for more stability.  I scored a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock to make the shelf for the cupcakes to set on, using again, the Scalloped Border Punch.  I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to punch out the cupcakes that I stamped with Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding (bottoms/cake liners) and Crumb Cake ink for the two tops, and then I punched out one of the tops with the NEW Dazzling Diamonds Paper!   How wonderful is that paper? BEYOND WORDS!  And I used it again to punch out a heart with the new Bitty Pack and colored it with BLENDABILITES!   I tied some Baked Brown Sugar Twine in a double bow and stuck the heart right over it.  I stamped out the sentiment from the Cupcake Party set and flagged the end.  I love how it all turned out, just how I planned it.
Welp, I'm off of here, we have another mess of bad storms heading in at any moment, stay safe and have a great night!

Stampin' UP! Fry Box

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday.  Me, I'm being lazy, because it's been a busy week and I can. lol  This past week, one of things I was very busy with was my Hostess Appreciation Party and the girls had a lot of fun as did I just spending some one on one with them.  They were so encouraging in my endeavours(some have been in my clubs for 9 YEARS!) to meet my requirements for the annual Stampin' Up! Incentive trips.  This year, as of today anyway, I will be spending some time with my 16 year daughter in Washington DC, all expense paid, in September, and I'm not upset at all that I'm not going to Hawaii, because she will get to see the Nation's Captiol and much more!
So, enough of the rambling...onto my project today.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on this die, the Fry Box.  I cut it out of Blackberry Bliss cardstock(one of the new In Colors) and ran it through the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder just on the front part of the box and assembled. (SUPER EASY to do!)  I stamped out the heart from the stamp set, Peace,Love and Cupcakes in Crushed Curry ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched it out using the new Large Heart punch  and adhered it to the box.  I added a Basic Pearl to the flower on the heart.
For the "fries", I used Very Vanilla cardstock, and cut them into 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 rectangles and scored on the short side every half inch.  I then ran it through a Crimper, ( I miss SU! not carrying this tool, but love keeping it around for this kind of thing) and then gluing two sides together.  I added Smarties inside to give away as a treat.
So, with that idea in mind, I needed something to say on the outside, so I saw the Friends stamp in the same set and thought to myself, that I couldn't just put friends on the outside, nope, had to think outside the box and something just clicked and I thought "friend fries".  So, I stamped out a Blackberry Bliss friends, and then used the Alphabet Rotary stamp to spell out "fries" and stamped it out in Crushed Curry ink and fussy cut both of them.  I love Venetian Crochet Trim(lace) so I stapled a piece of it to attach the two sentiments onto the box.  I LOVE how it all came out!
Well, I'm off to work on more swaps for Convention..only about 20 left to go!
Happy Sunday everyone!
