Wow! If nothing else besides the Christmas ads on TV and everywhere else weren't enough to remind you how quickly Christmas is coming, we had to get the blast of artic air and snow this past weekend. We here are still in the frozen tundra today at a balmy 8 degrees with a windchill of -2..BRRR....So, since that has gotten me in the spirit before Thanksgiving, well, I may as well as share a workshop card I made in October (lol, October, see- I was thinking of Christmas back then...) I started with a Whisper White base and layered some paper from the Trim the Tree DSP pack onto the bottom half of it. I adhered some of that beautiful Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon. (It is so nice to tie into bows as well!) and then ontop of that ribbon, I added some 1/4" Gold Ribbon and tied a nice bow off to the side. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Santa Stache set (I love both the sayings) in Momento Black ink(pay no attention to the little marks above it, nerves always get the best of me at workshops, "don't rock your stamps" says the demonstrator who rocked her stamps..) I punched out some Gold Glimmer stars with the Star Punch and used Mono Multi Glue to adhere them to the card.
I used my Blendabilites and Momento Black ink to stamp out and color the santa. I stamped out the santa twice and used the Mustache Framelit to cut the second one and then used Dimensionals to pop it up onto the first one. I added a Basic Pearl to his puff on his hat to finish it off. I also showcased the Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope to go with the card, and it's hard to see in the photo but it's there..Thanks for stopping by.
