Well, I have a couple more Easter projects to show and am running out of time, so this post will be short and sweet because I have one grandson today and need to spend lots of time with him before he heads home tommorrow. This past weekend I had a workshop and as soon as I saw this Berry Basket Die, I knew it wouldn't be long before someone had found more uses for it than it's original use, as a basket.
I ran the die through and cut ONE (not two as you would for a basket) from Soft Suede. I cut it in half (so you can make two cards from one die cut), and then scored it 1/4" from the original score line on the die. I stamped out the Hardwood stamp on the front of it to make it a little more realistic. I used the scallop piece that cuts at the same time as the die and counted out 16 scallops and stapled it onto the basket front with three scallops hanging over each edge to use as an "anchor" to hold it to the card front. I wrapped some ribbon around it after I glued it down and tied the bow. I stamped out the chick from the For Peep's Sake and layered it onto Calypso Coral Scallop.
I stamped out the Happy Hoppy Easter from the stamp set also and then stamped the garden pick from the From the Garden stamp set(CUTE STAMP SET, VERY VERSATILE!) and then cut it with the coordinating dies! I used Dimensionals to pop it up.
This card would be cute for may basket cards and instead of chocolate, stick in some flower seeds.
Well, I will be back tommorrow for the rest of my Easter projects then on to my All Ocassion Stamp a Stack cards.
