Yee Haw!

Well the sun is shining today, that's a good thing for the last day of February! Gonna get out and get some shopping done before some more snow arrives here in the midwest.  But I thought I would post another card we did this month for card class.  I have had this stamp set for a long time, and it was inked once I think, and the Bootiful Occasions has been used a few times.   The Yeehaw stamp set is still available while supplies last, as it is not in the regular Idea Book and Catalog, but a Photopolymer that is available until supplies run out.
I wanted to use up some ribbons that I have had sitting, so I did pretty good getting them down so I am not hoarding them when the new catalog comes out in June...lol
Here is the boot, we fussy cut them out and layered them onto a piece of Real Red punched out with the Fancy Label Punch.
I punched out the middle of the circle image to give some more dimension and placed a piece of Gold Shimmer Paper underneath.  I need to get moving so I won't give the long list of details, since it's pretty much what you see is what you get.  If you do have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you.
Happy Saturday!

Big Day!

Wow! I thought I'd NEVER get around to posting my February cards. When I went to take pictures of the them over a week ago, I had ran out of memory on my memory card and living away from local retailers that sell them, I had to wait until I got out to get one. I couldn't stand erasing the memory card to reuse it, as I have a fear that someday, when my computer crashes, it will be a day that I haven't downloaded them to my portable hard drive.  So, anywho....onto the card.  I have to say that this stamp set offering from Salebration was one of my FIRST choices.  I love the font and I love that it can be colored, paper pieced, or as on this card, just left without either.  I wanted to use the Best Year Ever DSP  and ribbon that is ALSO FREE during Salebration, so it made it very easy to come with an idea for a color scheme. And they are so fresh and yummy!
I stamped out the sentiment onto white and used my Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out.  I used my Stampin' Write markers in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral to color in just a little bit of the tag.  I stamped out the cake in Chocolate Chip ink onto Sahara Sand card stock and left it uncolored and punched it out using the 1 3/4" circle punch and layered it onto a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock that I cut using the Starburst Framelit dies.
I stuck both the tag and the cake image onto a piece of Sahara Sand card stock that I ran partially through the ZigZag embossing folder, leaving the bottom portion un-embossed so I could stamp out the rest of the sentiment as seen below.
I added a strip of Gold Shimmer paper down over a small piece of the Best Year Ever DSP and then tied the bow from the Best Year Ever Accesory Pack ribbon to finish it all.
Come back soon to see the rest of February's cards ....
