Honeycomb Happiness

I had a workshop recently that was ALL new stampers (well, the majority was, including my hostess).  I was so happy to be able to go back and show basic stamping again.  I love simple layouts and cards and was reminded of it preparing for this particular workshop.  I saw a card similar to this on another blog, and thought, PERFECT! It has lots of different products, but easy peasy to make.  I started with our FANTASTIC heavier weight Whisper White cardstock for the base( if you have not worked with this yet, GO GET SOME!) I added a layer of Birthday Bouquet DSP that reminded me of ice cream and then I stamped on another piece of the heavy Whisper White in Momento Black Ink, the ice cream cones from Honeycomb Happiness(FREE THROUGH THSI MONTH!) randomly on the front.
I chose a Honeycomb embellishment to the one ice cream image to give it a "wow" factor.  I stamped out the sentiment from the same stamp set with Momento Black ink onto Mint Macron card stock and used my Triple Banner Punch!
As I said, super easy and fast, but just a nice wow factor and the feel of something handmade to give to anyone for just being a good person.
I am heading out now to go smell the new baby and give her tons of smooches! Have a great Saturday!

Bunny Fry Basket~

Happy FRIDAY! I wanted to continue to share some Easter ideas since we are approaching it fast! Here is a quick and cute idea to make for class treats, grandkids, or co workers.  I cut a Fry Box using Soft Suede card stock.  I assembled it according to directions.  For the ears, I punched Soft Suede with the Wide Oval Punch and the Blushing Bride is with the Large Oval punch and then glued them to the back of the Fry Box.  I added the handle with Tiny Silver Brads.
For the face, I punched out 1/2" white circles and then I went to my trusty Owl Builder Punch and punched the black from the smallest circles off that punch and then added some white "twinkles" to his eyes with the Chalk Marker. I used the Small Heart Punch for the nose, out of Blushing Bride card stock and just drew on the mouth and whiskers with a Project Life Journal Pen.  I tied a fancy bow out of Lost Lagoon Cotton Striped ribbon and used hot glue to adhere it on.
I used out 4x6 Cello bags and filled it with Rolos and tied it shut with White Baker's Twine.
This was a make and take for a recent workshop and it was a HIT!

Honeycomb Happiness~

Hello! I am heading out to card class here shortly and almost forgot to post today...So, here is a little inspiration for Easter or just to welcome spring.  I just adore this little chick! Through March 31st, you can earn this stamp set FREE during Salebration, and if you want it, get it now as we are nearing half way through March already? WOW! I randomly stamped out the chick in Tip Top Taupe ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then stamped it again onto a piece of Delightful Dijon DSP from the Paper stack and "fussy cut" it out.
I stamped the sentiment in Momento Black ink onto Calypso Coral card stock and punched it out using the Large Oval Punch. I used the Tree Builder punch to punch out this cute little flower and added a Basic Pearl to the center and then onto the oval.  I cut a strip of Delightful Dijon to place across the top part of the card (instead of ribbon, because most of my customers don't like tying ribbon..lol) and added added some Banner Punched scraps of paper before adding the oval piece with Dimensionals on top of it.
I popped up the chick with Dimensionals.
Sorry, it's short and sweet, but I need to get movin'.  I hope you are having a wonderful day and have some awesome things planned for the upcoming weekend.

Party Wishes and New Baby!

Just realized how awfully taken this first photo was once I uploaded it...:( Sorry for that.  This is a card we recently made at card class.  I started with running the Blushing Bride card stock through the Confetti Textured Impressions folder and layering it onto a piece of Early Expresso.
I cut out an Oval from the framelits set for stamping the cake onto in Blushing Bride ink. I stamped the sentiment over the top of that in Early Expresso Ink and the candles in Hello Honey.  I punched a Wide Oval from Whisper White and stamped the "strings" onto it(didn't realize the one balloon is off ..geesh, I'm two for two on this post already), then punched out balloons using the Party Punch Pack, from Designer Series Stacks and card stock and tied a Crushed Curry Bakers Twine Bow to the end of them.

I used the Bitty Banner Punch and punched out some Early Expresso, Blushing Bride and Hello Honey banners and tucked them under the oval

We lost my stepmom this past week to a long battle with cancer, that was so tough, and prayers for my father who is lost and trying to figure it all out alone now.....
On a positive and happy note, we ended up after all the sadness with a new GRANDDAUGHTER! Summer Rose was born on Monday morning at 2:20 am weighing in at 8.2# and 21" ...she's perfect.
