Eggstra Special Make and Takes

Hello FRIDAY! Took ya long enough to get here....lol  Here is a Make and Take we recently did at a workshop.  It holds two snack size Kit Kats.  I started with a 2"x 6" piece of Whisper White card stock and scored it at 2 3/4" and 3 1/4" on the long side and then punched each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
For the outside, I cut some of the Watercolor Wonder DSP with the different colored chevrons on it and layered it onto a piece of Island Indigo cardstock.  I stamped the bunny from the Eggstra Special stamp set onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and punched it out using the Wide Oval punch.  I popped it up with Dimensionals.  I punched out 3 Tangerine Tango flowers from the Bitty Punch Pack and glued them on with Mono Multipurpose glue and after it was dried, I "fluffed" up the flowers.  I added some Basic Pearls to the center of each.  And of course the bunny needed a tail so what a better tail than another pearl?  I tied the whole thing shut with Daffodil Delight 1/8" ribbon(on the Clearance Rack-hopefully still there?).
These are so super simple you could whip them out in no time. Well, I hope you all have a great last weekend of March! I sure am going to enjoy the 60 degree temps!

All Mixed Up!

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! I have another card from class to show you today.  It doesn't showcase any SAB items, but lots of other great product.  I started by layer a Basic Black layer onto the Whisper White base.  I cut a Hexagon Hive out of Daffodil Delight(always use WAX PAPER between the die and card stock to cut or you will not be happy!) and adhered it to the black.
I stamped a bee from the All Mixed Up stamp set in Stazon Black onto Whisper White and colored in with Real Red and Daffodil Delight markers and punched it out using the Large Heart Punch.  Since we are past Valentine's Day, I chose to use a sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set(it's supposed to be like "bee-cause")and stamped it out and flagged the ends of the paper.  I stocked up on 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon from the CLEARANCE RACK($2.39 per roll!!!!) and adhered a bow to the bee punch out.  Pretty simple card, I am happy to say that my customers are liking the simple cards and I have to say, it reminds of the way stamping should be.  Well, I'm off to another appointment this morning but this one isn't so far away.  Am hoping to get into my stamp room this afternoon and stamp! Have a GREAT TUESDAY!

Hardwood Easter

Good Monday everyone!  I'm heading out for a trip to the Orthodontist today for my daughter and wanted to get my blog post done before I go.  This is another card for this month's card class.  I am in love with the Hardwood stamp!  I wanted this to mimic a wood fence behind hidden Easter Eggs so I stamped the Hardwood in Chocolate Chip onto Crumb Cake card stock.  I snipped at the Wild Wasabi strip with my Fringe Scissors and stuck some adhesive on the lower part of it.  I punched out two Large Ovals "eggs" from the Watercolor Wonder DSP and popped the top one up with Dimensionals just under the grass.  I punched out a Whisper White Butterfly and a Island Indigo Small Butterfly and layered them together and added some Rhinestones to the center.  I punched out a Tangerine Tango from the Small Tangerine Tango and layered it up with a Daffodil Delight Modern Label Punch that I stamped with the greeting from Delightful Dozen stamp set.  I tied a bow with the Linen Thread and adhered it with Mini Glue dots to the Happy Easter.
Here's is the eggs..aren't they cute?  Well, I hope that your day consists of stamping rather than a long drive to a dental appointment..:) Have a super Monday!
