Wow! Really kind of surprised about this one, but it's okay, just saw the new catalog and there are PLENTY of wonderful sets to replace it! Anyway, am glad the Word Play is staying....But am sure going to miss that Large Star punch too!

Fun and Fast Notes

I decided that I would just keep posting some "tributes" to the retiring list....so for the next couple of weeks, I will be showcasing some cards we did throughout the last couple of years using these retiring stamps...

Here is one we did at one of the first classes with the new catalog last year, was trying to showcase some of the new colors. I cased the card from the IB&C.

GoodBYE to Pick a Petal

I actually LOVED this set when I saw all the things you could make that did NOT include the original flower! And now, it is going, leaving, saying goodbye is never easy! So long my friend....this was one of my FAVORITE ideas for it!

Cheers to You

So at the end of this month, we say GOODBYE to LOTS of stamps sets to make room for all the wonderful NEW ONES! Sadly, this is one that will be retiring! I submitted this card to a publishing company, but it was rejected, so I am sharing it here.

I used the Brushed Gold cardstock and paper pieced the wine glass and punched out stars, (which I see that punch is retiring too! )

Happy Birthday

Well, today is my birthday, and this is another card rejection from submissions, but I used the Happy birthday sentiment from Grunge Rock. I learned how to make these ribbon flowers from convention 08 and it's one of my favorite things to make!

My Digital Studio Card

I just got the MDS CD from the Summer Mini(the hostess one) called Cheerful Treats! LOVE IT! Anyway, while trying to keep my stamp room clean today, I need my fix with "stamping" so I sat and played on my MDS today. Still got lots of learning to do, but had fun with the punches and and new content.

REUSE and RECYCLE your SU! boxes!

Okay, so I was shopping at a scrapbook store and noticed they had corrugated sheets of cardboard, but I thought they were pricey. Well, I decided, why not use what I have sitting at home in my recycling area....YEP! THE STAMPIN' UP! boxes....I sat down one evening for half and hour and just tore them down to get what I wanted....then I came in and immediatley had to try and run it through the Big Shot to see if it "squished" it, and NOPE, not a squish at all. And yes, I used my favorite die, Fun Flowers! Enjoy!
