Happy 18th Sarah!

So, this past week, daughter number 3 turned 18! Yeah- cannot believe that myself! First of all, "I'M not old enough to have another one become and adult....secondly, she is supposed to still be 10! lol So, I made her this card that I truly love! I love the fresh colors and that It's My Party DSP Paper Stack, OH MY! LOVE!
I used the Birthday Bouquet Punch(p. 13 Ocassions Mini) for the punching out Melon Mambo, Mint Macron and Crushed Curry balloons and I sponged each edge with ink of the same colors. I stamped out the strings from the stamp set Balloon Celebration in Basic Gray ink.  I used Dimensionals to pop each one up.
I cut the numbers from the Number of Years stamp set(p. 11 Ocassions Mini) from Mint Macron cardstock and again, used Dimensionals to pop them out.  I stamped the Happy Birthday in Melon Mambo  onto Whisper White cardstock, using a stamp also from the Balloon Celebration stamp set(p. 12 Ocassions Mini).
Well, my card class got cancelled yesterday due to the snow, so I'm off to another state today to make it up, so I need to be heading out on this white Monday! Have a super day and thank you for stopping by!

January Cards in a Nutshell~

Hello! I've been MIA again, but this time it's much better reasons than a computer issue.  I have my grandson for the WHOLE week and last week I spent getting prepared for my upcoming workshops and classes so that while he was here, I didn't have to think about it and just be able to spend time with him.  (oh and the fact that a toddler has way more ambition and moves a lot faster than I remembered so I have to keep my eyes on him all the time while he's awake!) So, I decided since February card classes are upon me, this week, I better just get my cards from January up and posted. So, here they are, apologies again, but I was in a hurry to get them photographed so I could at least share them. Im' sorry for the lack of detail, but if you have questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you soon! Thanks for stopping by!

Honeycomb Happiness Easter Basket~

Hello! I thought I'd share this project with you even though it's a bit early to think Easter, but I'm doing a Vendor/Crop in February, and this is the Make and Take that I'm offering the attendees to make for a small fee. I used the Berry Basket die to make the basket.  I stamped the Hardwood stamp with Soft Suede ink onto the basket panels before assembling it. I stapled the sides together and the handle also. I used Tangelo Twist Striped Cotton Ribbon on the handle to give it some pop.
For this precious little chick, (this is Honeycomb Happiness- FREE during Salebration) I stamped it in Archival Black ink and then used an Aquapainter to color it in with So Saffron ink from the ink pad lid. I punched out the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle from Soft Suede card stock and layered the chick onto that. For the Happy Easter, I used Crazy About You stamp set, stamped it in Soft Suede Ink onto So Saffron card stock.

Bloomin' Love Make and Takes~

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I went shopping with my family and enjoyed the spring like temperatures in January! We got some stuff to decorate and organize the new house and got them, for the most part, all put up on the walls. I wanted to share my make and takes from last weekends party. I knew that I had some newbies coming and didn't want to overwhelm them so I saw these quick and easy treat containers.  They are VERY similar to the sour cream containers but without the twist at the top.
So,  I used two different paper packs because I knew also that some of the ladies would more than likely give to their husband or child, but wanted to make sure they had choices other than all girlie. So for this one above, I used the Nuetrals DSP Pattern Paper Stack. I cut it into 6x6 squares, and scored 1" inch at the bottom, so then you fold it over and get two patterns showing!
For this one, I used the Love Blossoms DSP stack.  I did the same thing and scored one end and folded down.  I had them staple the bottom just to make it easier. You could use Tear Tape or Mono Multi.

For both, I stamped in Soft Suede onto Whisper White, using two different stamps from the Bloomin' Love Stamp set  and used the Washi Tape punch to punch it out. I had them pick from the Red or Blushing Bride Glimmer paper for punching our the Large Heart and then had them finish it off by clipiping it all on with a Metallic Clothespin and using either the White Baker's Twine or Natural Linen Thread to make a bow on the clothespin.
Easy Peasy!

A Sunny Hello!

Hello! Happy Saturday! This card is so appropriate for today, it's actually SUNNY! This is a card from last weekend's workshop.  I am in love with the Sunburst Framelit and the stamp set Botanicals For You! It is such a simple card and so bright and cheery.   I layered up a piece of Brights DSP Patterns Paper Stack(the yellow lines) onto a piece of the Whisper White cardstock (if you haven't tried the heavier one yet, GO GET SOME- we sell it now and it is so sturdy!) I ran the framelit through the Big Shot using Daffodil Delight card stock and then adhered it down to the striped paper.
I stamped out the Hello and the sunburst  in Daffodil Delight ink onto the heavy Whisper White and used Basic Black archival Ink and stampe the "my friend". I punched it out using the 2 1/2" Circle punch.  I used the Tree Builder Punch to punch out some clouds from Vellum Card Stock and adhered Dimensionals to the back of the circle and used that to adhere the clouds also so that you couldn't see the adhesive through the vellum.  I added a Brights Button to the sunburst for a bit of color.  Right now, you can get this Botanicals for You stamp set for FREE with a qualifying order. Contact me for details!
Have a super Saturday! Thanks for stopping in!

Party Wishes for a SPECIAL LADY!

Eek! We are so close to being THROUGH January! HALLELUIAH! But, for the positive side of January, it was a month with some pretty special birthdays! And this was a birthday card I sent to a super special lady who changed my life in May 2015.  I got to get out my Ocassions Min product and just PLAY! It was a great feeling! So here I used SEVERAL new products to make her card. I used Sahara Sand, Melon Mambo  and Whisper White cardstocks, Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper (TO DIE FOR GORGEOUS!) , It's My Party DSP Stack, ( I will list these all at the end of this post), Banner Triple Punch, Tree Builder Punch (for itty bitty flowers on cake), Basic Pearls, Wink of Stella(shimmer on the inside of card), Star Embossing Folder and Vanilla Seam Binding.
I just had to add some personal touches to this sweet cake, although it's awesome by itself, it's the detail that is needed.  This set comes with some neat stamps that you can actually stamp directly on the front of the cake too.
Here is some of the Designer Series Paper that I used the Triple Banner Punch on to "flag" the ends.
And for the INSIDE, I used the new Party Pop Up Thinlets Die. It is SUPER DUPER EASY to use! I randomly stamped little ballons in Melon Mambo.  I colored the pop up part with Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. ( Note that it's kind of messed up a bit, as it was the first time I used it and I squeezed a bit too hard..-lol!) Fun Stuff!
So, I am hoping she's received this card by now, as I am going to post in several places that she might see. I hope you have a super weekend, we are expected to have temperatures in the high 50's in IOWA IN JANUARY! I'm sure there is something coming in behind it in the way of SNOW! Oh well, I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy when it gets here..

Update and New Ocassions Mini Catalog!

Okay, so remember a few months ago, how I posted "I'm BACK?" yeah, well, I was for a tiny while and then my computer decided to just stop working.  So, now I cam back for good! My darling husband bought me a new laptop for Christmas and I am so excited to be back blogging!
So, I joined a SU! Trip Achievers Swap in December and we were to use things from the Oassions Mini or Salebration Mini catalog for all of our swaps.  I did two groups so that I could get double the cards back for some much needed inspiration.  So, today, I'm sharing my first post of one of my swaps.

I used the Play Pals stamp set that is available as a stamp set or you can buy it as a bundle with a coordinating die set called Pyramid Pals. ( I will post the bundle at the end of my post)
I layered some Melon Mambo DSP from the Paper Stack onto Smokey Slate cardstock which is the base of my card.
Then I randomly stamped some Blushing Bride flowers from the Project Life stamp set Memories in the Making.

For this precious elephants face, I stamped out the outline stamp in Momento Black ink and then the solid color is Basic Gray.  I used the dies provided in the Bundle to cut out the ears, eyes and trunk, the bow is cut from the bow die from Blushing Bride Glimmer paper(also new in the mini).  I added a pearl in the middle of the bow.
I layered a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and added it to the bottom of the card.  I stamped out the I heart You, also from the PL stamp set, in Momento Black.  I punched out the heart from the Blushing Bride Glimmer paper.  This stamp set and dies are going to be so much fun to make all kinds of cards and projects.  Stay tuned for tomorrow's post of my second swap.
Thanks for stopping by!
