Papillion Pavillon

This is a card I did for a couple of my June workshops because I was in love with the new Elegant Butterfly punch and I think my MOST FAVORITE embellishment in the new catalog are these BUTTONS~!!  I added a small pearl in the center of them and they are just wonderful!  I used the new Chevron embossing folder, some DSP from the Floral District and one of the Framelits from the Apothecary set...Just a fun card to make!  The sentiment is from the stamp set, Sweet Essentials.  If you haven't recieved a new catalog and would like one, contact me.

Petal Cone Ice Cream Cone Card

And yet another card "dimissed" by a current submission call...it's all good, because I finally made one of these.  I used the Petal Cone Die for my Big Shot, ran it through the Lattice embossing folder, and stamped the Happy Birthday with a Cherry on top, and punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch.  Added some Crystal Effects to the Cherry and some Basic Rhinestones.

Happy Birthday Big Shot Style

Okay, so here's another "loser" card for a recent submission....I used as much Big Shot stuff that I could.  I used the new DSP Floral District, Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, Whisper white cardstocks, The Natural Serif Alphabet die set, Scallop Envelope Die, Tasteful Trim die all for the Big Shot machine.  I used the Itty Bitty Punch pack flower punch, Gumball Green ribbon, and Basic Rhinestones.  I stamped Happy Birthday in Gumball Green ink and onto Whisper White cardstock, cut it out and attached it to a lollipop stick and then down into the envelope attached to the front of the card.  I of course had to add chocolate....

Summer Smooches

HELLO! I've been MIA again, and still "grasping" for things to post on my blog...lol. I am awaiting some NEW CATALOG items to arrive on Tuesday, so hoping to have some fresh stuff SOON!  This is one of the cards we made at our April Summer Smooches classes.  I hate that the brads didn't carryover, but that's okay, I love the other products in the suite!

Up, Up and Away Flower

Well, I am kind of grasping these days for things to post on my blog simply because life is really busy right now with the graduation of one of my daughter's, and my oldest daughter coming home for a week from GA(we are in Iowa) all the things I am trying to get done in between to make it all a relaxing time for all.
This is one of the cards we made in our April card class. One thing I like to do when coming up with cards for class, is showing them to think outside the box with different stamp sets and accessories whtat don't take long amounts of time.  This one uses the retiring In Colors Poppy Parade, Concord Crush, and Pear Pzaaz(on the stem of the little flower)and the Glitter Brads that match these In Colors, along with the ribbon.  Anyway, we used the solid balloon for stamping in the Daffodil Delight, and then the varigated stamp in the Concord Crush to make the top part of the flower.

Pretty Postage In Colors

I didn't realize how much I REALLY love the 2011-13 In Colors until I just pulled them out and put them together.  This is one of April's card class cards, using Pretty Postage stamp set, In Colors: Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade in addition to Whisper White and Crumb Cake.  We ran the Island Indigo through the Big Shot using the Houndstooth embossing folder and once again, those Itty Bitty punches showed up again! Added a few little Basic Pearls to the centers and lifted the edges of the flowers for some depth.  I also have under used the Postage Punch, but it's going to see lots of time this year...Anyway, stayed tuned for some more April class cards.

Owl Punch Baby Dress

I have to say that the Owl Punch is one of THE most versatile punches out there from SU! I just love that if you look at it a few times, you see something different every time.  Well, I wanted to show the Twitterpatted DSP to all of my customers before it was gone(and just to let you know...YOU CAN STILL ORDER IT!) and again, wanted to show another great idea for the owl punch.  I used the Blushing Bride Ruffled Ribbon, for the little pleat at the bottom of the dress.  Now, I know looking at the hanger, it's a little out of proportion to the dress, but it looked better to have it then to not.  It comes from the stamps set Little Additions.  We used Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, and Blushing Bride CS and Basic Gray ink.  We used the "welcome baby" from Petite Pairs stamp set.
