Balloon Builders Class~Lots of pictures!

Hello again! I wanted to share my most recent product based class that I had using the stamp set Balloon Builders~ I knew when I saw this stamp set that it was going to give alot of reasons to own it. So, I hosted a class and these are the cards that we made. 

 The Hungry Catapillar.. I know his face is a little freakish, but after I had stamped out his body, I didn't want to start all over. LOL!

The class fee consisted of a Balloon Builders stamp set for them to take home and all the supplies to make 5 of the cards above at class.

Swirly Bird~

This was my second card swap (sorry it's on a wooden block- we were only required to do card fronts-so this one doesn't stand on it's own).  I fell in love immediatley with the Swirly Bird stamp set and matching Framelits. I am also loving the new 2016-18 In Colors! I used two of them on this card- Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach.

I stamped out a couple of the images in Dapper Denim( the splash marks)  and Peekaboo Peach(the little flowers) and then ran a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper through the Big Shot using the Swirly Framelits.  I used my Mono Multi Adhesive to stick it down. Then I stamped the Thanks from the stamp set Perfectly Wrapped in Dapper Denim onto Whisper White card stock and then flagged the end with the Banner Punch. I tied a bow using the new Peekaboo Rouched Ribbon onto the side.   I love these two colors together.

 Well HELLO! I got some time to blog for the first time in over a month! Life has been busy, it's always a good busy, but nonetheless, the days turn into weeks and then into months..Anyway, I won't waste time in getting to the post.  I have joined a few swaps online to get some great samples of the stuff from the NEW Stampin'UP! 2016-17 catalog.  The first swap was with Tami White and I signed up for 3 swaps in which I made 30 swaps and got back 30 different amazing cards!  This was one of my swaps that I made.  One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that we get to preorder from the new catalog and I immediatley fell in love with this stamp set called Layering Love and the Designer Series Paper Affectionately Yours.  It's so warm, yet, the colors are just great together.

 I wanted to use the words as the focal point because I just love this saying! So, I stamped it in Night of Navy ink and then stamped the little hearts that are in the set in Calypso Coral randomly.  I cut a solid butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits in the DSP and then cut one from the detailed butterfly from Daffodil Delight and popped it on top.  I added a few Basic Rhinestones to the middle.

I added some Crushed Curry Baker's Twine down the side and punched out a Petite Petals from Calypso Coral card stock. I am enjoying just about everything from the new catalog, just wish my bank account had more in it..

Drapery Folded Card~

 Hello there! FINALLY, I feel like posting all things SPRING and colorful! This is a card I demonstrated at a recent workshop.  I fell in love with the technique that I found on Song of My Heart Stamper's blog.  You can find the tutorial here: http://songofmyheartstampers.typepad.com/song_of_my_heart_stampers/2016/01/new-drapery-fold-card-tutorial-by-song-of-my-heart-stampers.html.

 I used the 2015-17 Designer Series Paper Pack, Tip Top Taupe to be exact,  to make the drapery fold. I used a strip of Tip Top Taupe to cover the seam at the top.

 I used the Botanical Garden Framelits and cut the flower from Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Mint Macron.  I added a Botanical Gardens Jewel to the center of the flower.

I used the stamp from Shine On to stamp out in Tip Top Taupe ink.  I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones to just off set the blank white spaces.  This is a really fun way to use two sided pretty paper because you get to see both sides on the card!

Hello Birthday Boy!

 Yesterday, Jenna had a birthday party to go to for a boy in her class and because it's out of the norm for me to make cards for boys, this one came together fast and I love how it turned out! It's also not normal for me to pick a stamp set that has retired(Hello-SAB 2016) to use either, but I cannot stop using it!  I layered a piece of Cucumber Crush DSP onto a Whisper White card base and then cut out a Whisper White Sunburst and layered it over the DSP.  I punched a 2 1/2" Circle from Night of Navy cardstock and put it over the center of the sunburst.  I stamped out the sentiment in Cucumber Crush and Night of Navy and used the Triple Banner Punch to flag the ends. I punched out two little Balloons using the Birthday Punch Pack in Crushed Curry, popped one of the balloons and hand drew the strings.

I made a gift card holder using the Envelope Punch Board out of the same DSP Pattern Pack from Cucumber Crush (used the polka dots for this one).

I added Velcro to keep it shut.  Jenna wrote happy hunting because he likes to hunt, so we thought a Scheel's gift card would be appropriate for him.

~ All Ocassions Stamp a Stack

Twice a year I do a big Stamp a Stack and this is my spring one that I do, All Ocassions Stamp A Stack.  We do 5 of each of the following cards: Sympathy, Graduation, Wedding, Baby and Thank You.

So, because as usual, I am WAY behind on posting to my blog, in fact, it's almost time for my April card classes to start, and I haven't even blogged about my cards from March, which included some SAB stuff.  Where does TIME GO?  So, because I wanted to share these, I am going to post them in one post again. 

 This was my Sympathy one: I used Bermuda Bay, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stocks and inks, and Soft Suede ink for the sentiment.  I used the stamp set, You've Got This.

 This was our Graduation( or can be used for any accomplishment type celebration).  I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Basic Black card stocks and inks.  I used Gold Glimmer paper and Newsprint DSP along with the Star Framelits and Black Baker's Twine.  I used the stamp sets Bravo and Gorgeous Grunge.

 My favorite card of the SAS is the Wedding card.  I used Smokey Slate, Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stocks.  I snagged a bunch of Smokey Slate Chevron ribbon from the Clearance Rack.  I also used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch for the Blush flowers.  I stamped out the filigree type flowers and the For the New Two in Smokey Slate and cut with the Apothecary Framelits and used Dimensionals to pop it up with.  I punched out hearts with the Small Heart Punch from Silver Glimmer paper and finished off the card with Basic Pearls.

 This the baby card we made.  I used the adorable Easter Lamb from the Ocassions Mini.  I used Sahara Sand, Mint Macron and Whisper White card stocks. I ran the Mint Macron through the Gently Falling Embossing Folder. Punched the top of the tag with the Scalloped Tag punch and threaded some Hello Honey (also from the Clearance Rack) through the top.

 I stamped out the lamb in Momento Black and then the hid the Happy Easter under the banner at the bottom of his feet. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Made With Love and flagged the ends with the Triple Banner Punch.  I punched out a Real Red Large Heart and stapled it for a little pop of something.  (Sorry about the tear in this photo- I had a minor boo boo after I had it glued down). I added a Bow Clip to the lamb for some cuteness and colored the cheeks, tail and ears  with the Blushing Bride marker.

Our last card was the Thank You card.  Always good to have these on hand! I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Hello Honey card stocks.  I ran the Calypso Coral through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  Punched out a Hello Honey 2 1/2" Circle and stampe the Flowering Fields in Archival Black ink and hid it behind the Crumb Cake tag made from the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I stamped the Thank you from the Tin of Cards stamp set in Tip Top Taupe twice. (That's a tongue twister!) I added a few pearls to the center to fill in a blank spot.  I again went to the Clearance Rack and got some Ribbon, this is the Island Indigo Chevron) tied a knot at the top. 
Well, now it's time to be thinking of my Christmas in July Stamp a Stack! It's never too early to start thinking ahead!
