Dapper Dad-Stamp a Stack card #2

This is the second card I wanted to share from my previous All Ocassions Stamp a Stack this past month. 

I saw a card similar to this in some colors I don't use, so I decided why not switch out the colors and make it something I like.  This stamp set wasn't one of my first choices when the mini catalog came out, but it grew on me, like most stamp sets do over time, lol.  I don't have enough stamp sets for masculine use, and this one has three images that are PERFECT for just that.  I started by using Very Vanilla cardstock as my base and layering it with the much forgotten Chocolate Chip cardstock and then a layer of Crumb Cake ran through the Lattice embossing folder.  I stamped the bow tie once onto a square of Very Vanilla and then on a scrap piece of VV and cut that one out and popped it up on Dimensionals and added some brads to the four corners and adhered it down to a layer of Chocolate Chip.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamped set in Chocolate Chip onto Very Vanilla and sponged the edges and also adhered it with Dimensionals.  

Oh, Hello!

I finally got around to taking photos after a really busy month!  I am going to share the photos of my All Ocassions Stamp a Stack everyday this week.  This first one I am posting is an idea of an idea I saw on Pinterest. I added some more components to the original idea and changed the color scheme up. I used Summer Starfruit cardstock for the base, and then ran a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots folder on top of the base.  I then used one of our Doilies and layered onto that a Cherry Cobbler chevron from the Oh, Hello stamp set, cut with a layer using the Oval Framelits.  I then glued some Summer Starfruit Stitched ribbon down and stamped the Thanks So Much in Whisper White ink onto Crumb Cake and "banner edged" both ends and stuck down onto the ribbon with Dimensionals.  I finished off the card by using Mini Glue Dots on the back of a flower from the Flower Trim and added a Large Pearl in the center.  ** I died the flowers in a ziploc bag using reinkers and water**

Punch Art Easter Bunny Basket

I figured I better get my Easter stuff up on my blog before I realize it's too late....again, here's that Fancy Favor Die being used for a treat container (you really MUST have this die).  I cut out the box with Raspberry Ripple cardstock and stamped the Upsy Daisy onto the front from our Best of 25 Years stamp set  and assembled.  And then I started on the bunny. I won't go into all the details, because you can see where each thing needs to be, but I did want to list the punches I used: Wide Oval, Large Oval, Ornament, Blossom, and Owl. I sponged the edges with Whisper White ink.  Cardstock I used was Soft Sued, Pink Pirouette, and Very Vanilla.  I stamped Happy Easter in Raspberry Ripple onto Very Vanilla and free handed the dashes and wrapped around a toothpick. I filled it with handmade peanut butter eggs, and gave to my little ones that I babysit for.

I started out using the Fancy Favor Die out of River Rock cardstock and cutting it out and slicing off about 2" from the top part of it so it's much shorter than the original box would be.  And then cut 1"x 3" (10 of these) strips of River Rock cardstock and running them through the Woodgrain Embossing folder and sponging the edges of each one with Chocolate Chip ink.  I then trimmed them to resemble a "picket" fence and adhered them onto the die cut box.  I cut a strip of River Rock 3/4" x10" for the handle and attached them with brads.  I wrapped the whole thing with Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon and tied into a bow.  I stamped the scallop flower in Rose Red ink and punched out with the 7/8" Scallop Punch and then stamped the same stamp with Summer Starfruit and punched out just the words with the 1/2" Circle punch and popped it up with a Dimensional onto a piece of Print Poetry DSP using the Large Tag Punch and adhered it to the bow with some White Baker's Twine.  Not sure who it's going to go to, but I like it! I actually some other ideas for some different boxes!

Two Tags Easter Basket

This is the basket I made for my workshop this past weekend.  I just wanted to emphasize how many uses the dies have and a month or so ago, I posted another non-card idea using this same die, the Two Tags Die(love, love, love it!)

I started by cutting two tags from Lucky Limeade cardstock and running it through the Perfect Polka Dots folder and since there is already a score line where I wanted it, I just folded it there and pointed them towards each other.  I then cut a piece of Lucky Limeade at 2 3/4 x 6 3/4 and scored at 2" and 4 3/4" on the long side and 1/2" in on each short side, then cut into the score lines so that I could assemble the "middle" of the basket and assembled it all together.  I cut a strip of the patchwork pattern from the Tea For Two DSP and a strip of Calypso Coral from my Tasteful Trim die(scallop) and stuck them together and wrapped them around the basket. I stamped the bunny from the Spring Sampler in Early Expresso onto Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out with my 1" circle punch and layered onto a 1 1/4" circle of So Saffron using a Dimensional.  I stamped Happy Easter using the stamp set Delightful Dozen in Lucky Limeade ink on to Very Vanilla cardstock and did a fussy cut (cut by hand) and adhered it just under the bunny layer.  I then cut another strip of Calypso Coral from the Tasteful Trim die using the ric rak pattern and adhered it to a Lucky Limeade strip for the handle, glue dotted it down and then added some of the Silver Designer buttons to the outsides of the handles. And yes, I filled it with some irridescent grass and of course...chocolate.  Did you know that the 22nd is the LAST day of Salebration? Don't you want this die?

Patterned Ocassions

I saw a layout like this on Mary Fish's blog, and I changed up the colors a bit and the DSP, added some textures to it and my own touches to make it my own. I am liking the simple layouts alot lately, bringing back basic stamping is always good especially since I always encourage those who tell me, "I just don't have time for being crafty", to keep it simple and that cardmaking shouldn't be so involved that you finish a card and then can't do another because you are too exhausted.  Anyway, there is only 12 days left of Salebration and I can't believe it. The time has FLOWN!  This stamp set Patterned Ocassions is one of my favorite FREE choices.   I used the bandaid out of it and stamped it twice, once in Raspberry Ripple and cut that out using the Oval Framelits, then onto Very Vanilla cardstock again using Pool Party ink and cut that one out by hand  and popped it up on top of the other and layered an Oval a size larger underneath out of Raspberry Ripple cardstock. I punched out a Raspberry Ripple heart with the little heart punch(brain is having issues this morning) and added a Basic Rhinestone and stapled a piece of Raspberry Ripple cardstock to the side. For the base of the card, I used Very Vanilla ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, and layered a piece of More Amore DSP onto that, and then ran a strip of Pool Party through the Big Shot using the Adorning Accents (hearts) folder and flipped it over to use the de-bossed side.  Remember, there's less than two weeks left of Salebration! Tea For Two Tea Bag Dispenser

I cannot tell you how fun this was! I am thinking of how awesome they would be as gifts! Hmmm, yeah, I think so.  I used the Tea For Two DSP from the Spring Mini and So Saffron, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Early Expresso cardstocks to make the dispenser and flower on top.  I made the flower using the Fun Flowers Die and spritzed it with the Shimmer Mist Spray. I added a Subtles button with Bakers Twine tied to it in the middle of the flower. I had alot of fun making it, sorry so short and sweet post for now, but I finally found my pictures I downloaded a week ago, and am now playing catch up for posts.
