Alaska!

So, here I am for the first time in MONTHS! I wanted to start back blogging with some of my pictures from the 2018 Stampin'Up! Incentive trip to Alaska! Oh my word! Had a blast and was SPOILED beyond anything I could have ever imagined. This was my first Grand incentive trip, so it was quite different than the Getaways that SU! have, that I earned. This one was GRAND in EVERY SINGLE WAY!
First of all, the pillow gifts! Wowzer!

Each night on our bed, usually while we were at dinner, the stateroom attendant would come in an deliver them. It was awesome to come back with a surprise! And SU! spared NO expense. Stamps/bundles from the new Holiday catalog, a warm logo jacket, a GORGEOUS handbag, a foil map, a warm blanket a nice plaquard was on our door when we arrived with a photo of Alaska. It was amazing! 

The first day was boarding and sailing out to Juneau. We got on our boat  the Explorer of the Seas in Seattle around 1pm Friday and sailed all night and all day Saturday. And all I can say is I have NEVER been on a boat that is like a floating town! BEAUTIFUL!

On Friday night after dinner, Stampin' Up! hosted a Meet and Greet with hor'dourves such as sushi, hand sandwiches and all kinds of fruits and cheeses.  

Saturday morning, all of the achievers and first guest went to the Palace Theatre to have a Welcome Reception. There a bunch of corporate members and board members were there. Shelly was there! We got some demonstrations on new upcoming Holiday Catalog product and lots of FREE stuff from it! They shared a new concept to get new customers, how to entertain those who are already avid stampers. 

They announced the 2020 Incentive would be...……………...MAUI! I will so be working my patooty off for this one! I was above excited! I immediately went back to my stateroom and sat on the balcony with a cup of coffee and writing ideas down for upcoming classes to make this a reality! 

Sunday, we stopped for the first time in Juneau! BEATIFUL and BREATHTAKING! We had bought a Whale Watching and Wildlife watch with Mendenhall Glacier stop. 

 Some great tree lines of Alaska. There was a brown bear on the shore line, but the boat was moving too fast at this point that I couldn't get a picture.

 Herbert Glacier was so cool to see on our way out to watch for whales.

 We were 10% of the ONLY ones that EVER see pods of Orcas. This pod had a mom, dad and baby.  Snapping pictures of them are not easy.

This was the boat that we were on. 

 Mendenhall Glacier is a MUST SEE if you ever get a chance to go to Alaska! These pictures do no justice as to the enormous size it is. It has shrunk SO much in the past 200 years.

 If you click on the picture above you can see how grand the waterfall is compared to the people standing at the bottom! Yes, those are people! We only had an hour here, so we were unable to walk all the way out there.

You could also walk out and get within 1/4 mile away from the glacier if you had time. 

THEN......I think Mike was just as excited to go here! TRACY'S CRAB SHACK! Alaskan King Crab- 5# of it! We were so full by the time we finished off this bucket, that it was a super time to walk back to the boat 1/2 mile away!

Celebrate!

 Hello! Hope you had a super Monday! I started a full time job today, first in 12 years, other than my SU! business so I'm going to be challenged a bit more to post on my blog. I will do my best to multi task now. Maybe it's what I need to post MORE.  So, this is a card I demonstrated at my workshops in February. I started out layering Berry Burst and Lemon Lime card stock onto Whisper White. I then took a piece of the Picture Perfect DSP with the candles on it, (this pack has some great patterns!) and rolled it through the Big Shot using the FREE SAB Celebrate Thinlets(free with a $100 purchase).

 I then added some Mini Dimensionals to the back of it ( I popped it out of the DSP first after cutting it) and then lined it back up and placed into it's cut out piece.   I then added some of the FREE Ribbon that is offered during SAB too.

A Good Day Treat Boxes~

 Good Saturday morning! I've got lots this week to share. I've been on a hiatus for about 4 months with my blog. I have been battling some depression and kind of put my business on the back burner, more like low heat, because I just couldn't get out of the funk. So, I'm grateful for GREAT friends who host parties for me to stay active and doing what I love.  This first project is a make and take from my last party. It's a Acetate Card Box cut in half ( you get two boxes this way)! BRILLIANT!

 I used the 2017-19 Patterns DSP pack (Powder Pink) to cut and make and insert for covering the box and it's treat inside. I added a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to the front for some extra weight. Then, I when I saw these sweet little embroidery hoops in the Occasions Catalog, I knew I would have them! I stamped out the bunny from the stamp set A Good Day and colored it with my Blender Pen and Crumb Cake ink (squished into the lid of the stamp pad) and the same with the Powder Pink ink for the bow. I punched it out and adhered it to the layer of Powder Pink cardstock to glue to the embroidery hoop.  I added a piece of the 1/4" Copper Trim ribbon to the top.

Inside, I placed a white chocolate bunny that fit perfectly inside. I hope that I you can be inspired to make some of these quick and easy treat holders.

Snowflake Sentiments~

 Good Wednesday! I wanted to share some projects from a workshop I had on Monday night.  I told my hostess that it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas, so I based her party on Christmas. This is the first card that I made. It is a color theme that I always love to use with snowflakes. Smokey Slate, Whisper White and Soft Sky and Real Red.  I started by running the Snowflake Embossing Folder thorugh the Big Shot and flipping it over to the side that was inverted. I then wrapped some Smokey Slate Gingham ribbon around it and added a Year of Cheer embellishment to the ribbon before tying a bow.

I stamped a Soft Sky Snowflake onto Whisper White Card stock and the the sentiment in Smokey Slate ink over the top and then punched it out using 11/4 Circle punch and then punching a Real Red one using the 1 1/2" Circle punch and then adhering them with Dimensionals to the front of the card. I added some Silver Faceted Dots on the corner too.

Hostess Appreciation Party~

 Every 6 months or so, I host a Hostess Appreciation party for my Hostess Clubs. They mean the world to me and without them, I wouldn't really have much business. I love them all. So, I try and provide them with fun projects to make and take home, as my THANK YOU! This is one of the projects I had them make.

 We ran another piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot using the new Woodlands Embossing Folder and then I had them use the Sponge Roller with Soft Suede Ink and cover the embossed side. Then I gave them the choice before assembling if they wanted the glass kept in or out. I kept mine in and just used hot glue to assemble the whole thing.

 I used the Bold Butterflies dies with Whisper White, Powder Pink and Calypso Coral card stock to make the flowers and butterflies. (The flowers are made from a retired die)

 I had them put the new Glimmer Faceted gems in the center of the flowers to hide the hot glue.

We finished them up by heat embossing the sentiment from the stamp set Layering Love, in Gold embossing powder.  I bought the frames online at Walmart.com. I hate to make it short, but I have my grandson coming over here soon. Happy Thursday!

Daisy Bundle

My husband and I were lucky enough to go to Hawaii for our 25th Anniversary in June. Not only did we not want to come back to reality, my husband who is a teacher seriously wanted to find a job while there, even joked about staying if he did. Well, reality is, it's too expensive to live there, but we plan to go back! So, while we were gone, we had some WONDERFUL friends that took care of our youngest daughter for a WHOLE WEEK! These are the cards that I made for them. They are pretty much the same other than the difference in color of paper. I used the Daisy Punch Bundle. I stamped the Daisies on vellum card stock with Versamark and then sprinkled them with Whisper White embossing powder and heated with my heat tool. I punched them, cut them in half and layered them to make them a little bit more full. I stamped the stems in Old Olive ink and then stamped the Thank you in the same color and then cut it out and flagged the ends. I adhered the flowers to the front of the card and then added the Faceted Glitter Dots in gold.

 The gold papers in the background of each one are from the new Bundle of Love Designer Specialty Series Paper Packs. THEY ARE AMAZING! The top one uses the Soft Sky card stock and the bottom ones are Blushing Bride card stock. The bottom one I ran a piece of Gold Satin Ribbon across to give it a pop.

Back To School Treats~

 Hello everyone! I have been gone again for a long time. Life sometimes doesn't play fair, but for us, that's what we are used to I guess. The outcome was good, so I will not complain or go into detail, but I have tons of stuff to share with you in the coming days to play catch up.
This past weekend I was part of a Back to School Vendor fair, it was in small town, and the crowd was not super fluent, so I came home with all of these! Well, I guess that makes it easier for me the first week of school, treats are already made. :)
The pencils are Rolos and the erasers are snack size Kit Kats. I used all Stampin' Up! product that I could. They are time consuming, but they turned out really cute.
