See Ya Later!

Well, the snowstorm waited until my workshop was over on Saturday night, I'm blessed for that.  We only ended up with 6" of snow versus the 12" they predicted earlier in the week.
Here is the card I demonstrated showcasing the See Ya Later! stamp set that is offered for FREE during Salebration, which is over at the end of this month!   I started with a background color of Soft Sky and adhered it to the Whisper White card base and then used the Deco Framelits to cut through both layers at one time.  I stamped the sentiment in Daffodil Delight through the window, then colored the stamp with Soft Sky marker and stamped it out again, and fussy cut it with my scissors.  I flagged the ends of that with my Banner Punch(also FREE during SAB) and popped it up on a Dimensional.
Here is the card opened just slightly....
And as I did for one of my cards for February card classes, I made the sunshine from the Banner Punch(the sun rays) and a piece of Brights DSP Pack in Daffodil Delight punched out using the 1 3/8" circle punch.  I adhered the rays to the back, and popped it up on Dimensionals over "clouds" that I made using the Bubble Framelits from Whisper White and then running through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots.  (In the workshop, I used the Decorative Dots folder).   I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones to it and viola!  I also showcased the Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope for this card and for the liner out of Polka Dot Parade DSP.  They were in love!  I have to finish up designing my cards for class this month, I have lots more to share from this workshop, but that will be later this week.
For those of you in the artic tundra once again, stay warm and may this card warm you up a bit! For those of you that aren't, well, God Bless you that you aren't! lol

My Paper Pumpkin-February Hostess Gift

Today I have a workshop! YAY! I needed a gift for my hostess and what a better way to actually USE your My Paper Pumpkin this month!  I got the ideas for the buttons on the sides from my friend Laura Mellinger over at Laura's Works of Heart blog.  I switched out the colors(and as I type this, I noticed my Bermuda Bay ribbon clothespin must have fallen off-lol) to Melon Mambo.
This particular kit came with two Photopolymer stamps, one a polka dot stamp and a striped stamp.  Then you got 5 bags, all the clothespins to decorate, the Baker's Twine and the ribbon for the handles. AWESOME KIT! I tucked some of my goodies from my Book A Thon in it and some chocolate of course!
Please pray the snowstorm that's coming waits until afterwards and I am back home. ....UGH!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I was disappointed that I didn't get to participate in the SSS Blog Hop this month, I was truly just busy with all my other class preperations etc.  I did find time to make a couple of Valentine's Day cards and I must say, I LOVE how they came out!  I tried my hand at the flinger confetti card and so I made one for my husband (the first one) and one for my sister.  I used the Hardwood background stamp that has become one of my new FAVES! Some Real Red card stock and Baked Brown Sugar and a strip of DSP from the In Color 14-15' Color Stack.  I used the Hearts Aflutter Die set for the heart cut out in the front.  I added a retired button with some Linen Thread tied into a bow.  I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day using a stamp from my "go to" stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes.
For the inside, I made a confetti flinger! It is so much fun! My husband kept loading it up and opening it! lol
This is the one I did for my sister. I just switched out the colors to Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe.  And the embellishment is one of the In Color 14-15" Boutique Details.  The inside is the same as the first one.  So, with this post, I want to wish every one MUCH LOVE and Happy stamping!  As I type, we are yet again, getting MORE snow...grrr...yesterday was BEAUTIFUL and thawed a ton of snow...hm, isn't it grand how Mother Nature can work?

More Owls!

My latest consignment gig projects! I just love making these, in fact, I already have an idea for EASTER to make similar! Gonna put that thought into action here soon!  I used up some retired stuff, so the DSP for both are from last year's mini, Sweet Shoppe.  I love it, but it feels good to let it go, I think I have a hoarding issue? Oh well, at least it's a good hoarding choice.
I won't bore you with all the details of how, but I wanted to say that I used a plethera of current product too. I used the Bubble Framelits and Just Sayin' stamp set from the current Mini catalog.  All of the cardstock is current as well and the Hearts Framelits for the base of the treat holder.
I really love the way they turn out everytime.  I'm kind of addicted to owls on stuff...
I hope she can sell them, I would LOVE to receive one for Valentine's Day!

Geometrical!

Okay, before you laugh too hard, this was one of my first times with the Spiral Flower die from the Ocassions Mini, and I'm getting better at it with time, but I don't think it's completely awful, but it's definatley different.  Anyway, this is a workshop card I did this past week.  I used the Retro Fresh DSP, in which I am in love with the colors in this pack!  I started with a Pool Party card stock base and then added a piece of the Retro Fresh paper to it.  I ran the Hexagon Hive Framelit die (tip when using this die: place a piece of wax paper between the die and the card stock and you will never have an issue with it releasing from the die!)  I used my Two Way Glue Pen to adhere it to the DSP.  I stamped the sentiment in Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White card stock and then the arrow from the same set in Pool Party. Then came the flower, I used hot glue to assemble it and then to adhere it to the card.  I added a Large Pearl to the center because I had an odd gap in the center.  So there you have it.  My workshop projects are now all posted and I hope this inspires you to go make something fun today!

Banner Blast-More Salebration!

I made these for my Make and Takes this month for workshops.  Seems like everything I do for M&Ts involve chocolate and this is no different. lol  I am always trying to show "outside the box" on products that everyone knows how to use just by looking at it.  I saw someone show how to make this cute little treat holder from the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch(p. 35 of the Ocassions Mini).  I cut a 1 15/16" x 7 1/2" piece of Whisper White Cardstock and scored it on the long side at 3/4, 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, 6, and 6 3/4.  I added a piece of Fresh Prints DSP(p. 33 of the Ocassions Mini) to the front(love chevrons!) and added some Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Ribbon just to the underneath before adhering down permanetly.
I used the Banner Blast stamp set and coordinating punch(BOTH are FREE during Salebration!-p. 13 of the SAB Brochure).  I stamped one in Real Red and one in Baked Brown Sugar and then the heart in Real Red also, punched them out with the matching punch.  I faux added the Natural Twine just behind the banners before popping them up on Dimensionals and tying seperate ribbons at each end into bows.  I added a Basic Rhinestone to the heart and viola, FINISHED!  I folded it all up and tied it shut with Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.   I hope you are enjoying these projects and that it will inspire you to make something fun today! Salebration starts Tuesday!
