More Cherries!

I LOVE this stamp set, Button Buddies!  This is my second card I have made with the set, and this time I used the Cherry Scented Embossing Powder that we have in the Occasions Mini.  I also used the stamps set A Word For You.  I love the font on that stamp set....anyway, I punched out the sentiment after I stamped it on Crumb Cake cardstock with the Wide Oval Punch and sponged the edges with Early Expresso ink and attached it over the top of of a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon stapled to it and onto some Dimensionals.

Heart Framelit Hanging Boxes

I made these for my daughter's three teachers for Valentines Day.  I used the Large Heart Framelit and cut it twice, then the next size smaller to cut each piece of Designer Series Paper(I used a Christmas one from this past Holiday Mini-retired now, purple one with dots is from the pack of Sweet Shoppe in the CURRENT Occasions Mini, and the red floral one at the bottom is from Twitterpatted, which is also from the CURRENT Occasions Mini. I then made my flowers from punching 5 Scallop Circles and scrunching them, open them back up and add a brad, then pull each layer up again to achieve the look you like, then glue dot it down to the top heart.  I made the middle of the basket by cutting a piece of cardstock to 4x8, and scoring in the middle(long way) at 4", then each long side at 1/2", fold each score line, and fold into a "V" shape and glue one heart to each side. I just cut a handle to the size I like and attached it with Sticky Strip tape.  Finished size of these baskets are 5 1/2 x 5" (not including the handle).

Sprinkled Expressions St. Patty's day card

I used the Sprinkled Expressions SAB set (FREE choice with $50.00 purchase) and the Sincere Salutations stamp set to make this St. Patrick's Day card.  I stamped the heart 4 times in Garden Green, then punched out hearts from the Owl Punch from Gold cardstock and glued them on. I then ran the whole thing through the Lattice embossing folder.  For the stem, I punched in a little ways on Garden Green cardstock with the 2 1/2 circle punch and then a little bit more to get the size I wanted.
I then stamped Good Luck on Whisper White in Garden Green ink and punched it out with the Fancy Label punch and popped it up on Dimensionals and added some gold brads.  It's hard to see, but I spritzed it all using my FAVORITE handmade Shimmer Mist spray in Champagne!

Sophia's Sucker bouquet

My friend Amy asked me to do a Valentine's gift for her granddaughter Sophia, and she thought the idea of DumDums would be great since she is teething.  So, I set out to make a bouquet for her using the suckers and our new Sweet Shoppe DSP from the Mini.  She is a purple and pink kind of girl so I made her flowers from Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette cardstock, cutting them out with the Fancy Flower Die and Big Shot.  I bought the clear paint cans from our local scrapbook store and just insterted the paper.  I then tied a nice White Satin ribbon around the top.  To make the tag with the "S", I cut a peice of Pink Pirouette cardstock down to just cover the "S" on my Seriff Essentials letter die and cut it out, then glued a piece of Silver Glitter paper behind it, it's the reverse negative technique", then tied it to the ribbon with White Baker's Twine. I filled the can with DumDums and punched holes in the lid that came with the tin to hold the suckers in place, since the sticks are smaller and needed some support.

Lots of Hearts!

January card class brought lots of Valentines Day card and this was one of my favorites.  I tweaked some leftover kits that I had and made mine going horizontally versus the one we did in class which was vertical and at the bottom of the card.  I also added Silver Glitter paper to the first heart instead of the Melon Mambo DSP that they used in class.  I LOVE the Heart Embosslit and we figured all three classes, it cut over 200 hearts! We then used the Large Heart Punch for the top layer of them.  There's that PS, I Love You set again! (have I told you how much I LOVE Valentines Day?) Then we tied a peice of White Baker's Twine to an Itty Bitty Button and stuck it to the heart that said "love you"...

Valentine Framelit Decor

Soooooo, I LOVE Valentine's Day....and I just knew that I would love these Framelits, so  I decided to do some 3D with them!  I also used one of the our Letterpress plates (which I have wanted for a long time now and just got!)
I cut 5 hearts from the Framelits die using Pink Pirouette cardstock, and ran them each through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, then using our Simply Scored Tool, I scored them down the centers and folded inwards. Then I used some Mono Multi Glue to glue them all together and make it dimensional.  I then punched out Certainly Celery pennants from the Pennant Builder punch and Cherry Cobbler hearts using the Small Heart Punch and threaded the pennants with White Baker's twine and added Basic Rhinestones to the hearts.  I then layered this on a piece Crumb Cake that I ran through the Lattice Embossing Folder. I punched out some clouds using the Cupcake punch and sponged the edges with some Bashful Blue ink.  Tied a nice bow using that wonderful Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and adhered it to the "heart balloon".  I then ran the Letterpress plate with White Craft ink onto Certainly Celery cardstock.  I felt like the bottom of the frame was "naked" so I ruffled some Basic Gray Striped Grosgrain ribbon.  (The finished size is 8 1/2x 11)

Fabric Necklaces

I have made these for special people and although I can't say who they are for yet, (because some don't know yet), I wanted to share them with you because there is some GREAT stuff from the Occasions Mini used on them.  For example, the Framelits Die is used for the "topper", and the stamp set P.S. I Love You, the LARGER pearls and a couple of the necklaces use the Twitterpatted fabric!  I also used, not from the mini, the Nuetrals Pattern Paper Pack DSP(for the tags).  And of COURSE, a piece of CHOCOLATE!
