Catalog Premier Treats

Okay so by now, you have probably all heard and seen photos from last night's Stampin' Up! FIRST EVER, Catalog Priemere and for those of you wondering WHAT it was, well, in a nutshell, Stampin' Up! rented out 40 movie theaters in the United States and all simultaneously did a LIVE stream from California!  It was full of fun stamping demonstrations, laughs, sneak peeks of new catalog products...oh, just a BLAST!
Well for those of you who have never been to a Stampin' Up! event, let me say, it is THE MOST AMAZING time EVER! And of course because of our love for stamping, we never leave empty handed for an event as far as card swaps or gifts for those we travel with.  So, I wanted to make something for my downline who went with me and my sideline, who was gracious enough to provide her vehicle for us to drive down the 3 1/2 hour trip to St. Louis(Hazelwood to be exact).

I won't go into the details of each box, but wanted to point out that I made the popcorn buckets with the Cupcake Punch and the popcorn with the (SOON to be GONE) Itty Bitty Punch Pack flower punch. Isn't it CUTE AS A BUTTON...
For the ticket, I used the stamp set Best Decision Ever(available for Demonstrators only) onto Calypso Coral card stock in Basic Black ink and punched out using the Duo Ticket Punch.
Here is the one I made for my downline. She LOVES all things PURPLE!

Inside, I put a bag of microwave popcorn, some candy, a notebook and a SU! pen for jotting down notes.
I am thinking that these would be so fun to make for a movie themed birthday party.
Well, I'm off to take a nap.  I have had 4 hours of sleep in the past 15 hours.

Sweetie Pie

Well, this was going to be one of our cards for May card class, but I just saw yesterday that this stamp set SOLD OUT! I love it so much, that I was going to use it again.  I borrowed the idea from SU! blog and switched out all the colors and added in the embossing folder, added a flower to her hair, yeah, not going to be able to do this card this month.  However, the Itty Bitty Punch Pack(the flower in her hair), the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, the Scallop Circle punch and 1 3/4" Circle punch, Stazon Black Ink and Tempting Turquoise items are all still available.  The Strawberry Slush items are gone! Yep, they were on the Retired List on Monday and I believe in no time they were GONE!
FREE SHIPPING through TOMMORROW! So if you need anything contact me or go to http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/jamiehurley/ and you can order directly there and get your free shipping, BUT ONLY THROUGH TOMMORROW, April 25th!

You're Amazing!

Wow! What a whirlwind the last two days..We had our second grandson born yesterday and he.is.precious! This card fits my feeling when I held him for the first time.  I fell in love the instant I saw him.
This is the last card for my April classes.  I started out with layering Soft Sky onto Whisper White card stock and then a layer of Basic Black over that.  I used the White ink pad with a sponge and lightly sponged over the black and then stamped the stamp from You're Amazing, in white on the Basic Black.

I punched out 3 Crushed Curry Scallop Circles and scrunched them up and added a Glimmer Brad to the center and then "un-scrunched" them and adhered them over a strip of Real Red Designer Series Paper from the Paper Stack.
Well, until another day, I am out...I am just home from the hospital and need to start working on May classes. Thanks for stopping by!

Take Care

Happy Easter! I hope everyone has a wonderful day celebrating Christ's resurection today! What an AWESOME God we have all the time.
I wanted to share a card from class this month that reminds me of spring.  It's very simple and it's a stamp set that I got when the catalog came out LAST YEAR, and it just now got inked, I know, don't judge! lol
It's called Take Care and I've seen the branch used with the Owl Punch alot, but was feeling the need to use as much of the set as I could.  I've been going back to the basics with my classes, due to the fact that card making should'nt take so long, so I'm pretty comfortable with it, just sometimes I feel the need to add more.
I started with Whisper White base, then layered a plain piece of Early Expresso and then another cut down a bit more that I ran through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder. I layered the Marina Mist onto it and then another Whisper White.  I colored the branch with Early Expresso and Old Olive markers and stamped it on the white.  Then stamped the nest in Early Expresso onto the branch once, and then onto a piece of Crumb Cake and punched it out.  I stamped the eggs in Marina Mist and fussy cut them out and popped them up on the branch.  I finished it off by stamping the Take Care in Marina Mist.
That is all I have for today.  Go out and enjoy the gorgeous day!

Perfect Pennants Bundle

Today is going to be a GORGEOUS day out and I get to go see my grandson play soccer, so this is my short and sweet post for toda. I saw a video how to make this card.  It's kind of a "postcard" there's no base to open, the actual Smokey Slate Banner on this card IS the flap that opens and reveals the next size smaller pennant in white to write on. I started with a Summer Starfruit base, and layered it with a piece of  Bermuda Bay that I randomly stamped with stars from the Perfect Pennants stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink. Then I cut out the Smokey Slate by creasing the cardstock and laying it just above the die so that it stays attached to make a flap. I glued it in between the Summer Starfruit and Bermuda Bay layers. I stamped out the Make a Wish in Summer Starfruit onto Whisper White and used the 2 1/2" circle punch to cut it out and then sliced off just enough to line up on the pennant.  I colored the letter "a" with the Bermuda Bay marker and punched it out with the 1/2" circle punch.  I added a strip of Silver Glitter paper behind it before tying a piece of Summer Starfruit stitched ribbon over it all.  I used the Star Punch to punch out some BB stars for some color on the front.
I'm sad to see Summer Starfruit retiring this year, I need to "hoard" up ( my new word for "stock up") on it before it's gone.!
And speaking of retiring...TOMMORROW, April 21st, the RETIRED LIST comes out for Stampin' Up! and Monday-Friday ONLY, FREE SHIPPING! Contact me if you need anything or need help ordering! This year, even the stamps are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

Thanks So Much

Oh Hello! Yes, that's the one of the stamp sets I used on this card for card class this month. The sentiment and the chevron pattern on the Apothecary label behind the butterfly from Papillion Potpourri are actually two stamps from that set.  I stamped the sentiment first on Whisper White card stock in Smokey Slate ink and then ran it through the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.  I cut the label, as I said before, with the Apothecary Accents framelits from Soft Sky card stock and inked up the chevron stamp in Soft Sky and stamped it on.  I cut a piece of Burlap Ribbon in just to make it look square and stuck it down on top of the label.
I stamped the butterfly in Stazon Black and colored it with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad and Blender Pen and used a couple of Mini Glue Dots to adhere to the burlap.  I finished it off by tying a piece of Linen Thread into a bow and adding a Basic Pearl to the front of the bow.
Thanks for stopping by.  Tommorrow I will post yet another card from class..Happy Good Friday!

Sweetie Pie

Hello stampers! Here we are again, another month about gone.  I can't believe it.  I always seem to notice it more when I am finished with my last class of the month.  Kind of puts things into perspective. Anyway, wanted to show you our cards from class this month. I am IN LOVE with the most recent Photopolymer stamp set: Sweetie Pie!  I adore all the cute faces and the whimsical frames and doodles on the other set too.
I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  Then stamped one of the frames in Stazon Ink onto the wood image, and then again onto a scrap of Crumb Cake and fussy cut it out and popped it up on a Dimensional.   I cut a piece of Retro Fresh DSP and adhered it to the bottom of the wood image piece and then wrapped a piece of Costal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon across the seam.  I cut out a bubble from the Bubble Framelits using Very Vanilla card stock and stamped it with some of the sentiments in Basic Black and Coastal Cabana inks.  I wanted a little something to make it all pop out so I used the Small Heart Punch and punched out a heart from Champagne Glitter Paper.
For the face, I stamped it onto Very Vanilla and traced the frame and cut out by hand, coloring her hair with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker.
I am sure I will be using this stamp set alot as I just can't get over the cuteness of it. Thanks for stopping by!
