Happy Hello!

Let me first by saying that there is only 17 days left of Salebration! And secondly, I apologize for the "generic" photo of the box, the candy has been "double dutied" for another project. LOL! Anyway, on to today's post.  This is the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit that is FREE(during SAB, with a $50 purchase). In the kit, you recieve 8 printed, diecut cards, 8 printed envelopes, 24 cardstock flowers, 8 Basic Gray sticker strips, 8 pieces precut Basic Gray Baker's Twine(exclusive to this kit!) and 8 adhesive backed rhinestones.
So, it was as simple as literally putting the card together with the product it came with and the box, was just as EASY! I made 3, (3!) score marks , made two tiny cuts, and assembled the box and added the precut details to it and viola! it was done in less than 3 minutes! (The candy was gone faster than that I might add! hehehehe) Anyway, who knew? Thank you to the demonstrator that I saw this idea for the box from, my CRW(can't remember where) kicked in once again but I know she is fantasically smart!

Spring Sampler Stepped Up!

I was putting my February card stuff away and had an extra of this card, so I decided to show a "stepped up" version of the one we made in class(the top one) and then added the Bottle Caps to the second one to show the versatility of them.  I wish I could use them for our monthly card class and as affordable as they are, for 60 people this month, was just not possible.  I used the Spring Sampler stamp set (Spring Mini) and the Tea For Two DSP(also from the Spring Mini), the Wallpaper Embossing Folder onto Lucky Limeade cardstock and then cut a Top Note from Whisper White cardstock and covered the other end with the DSP.  I stamped Happy Easter from the stamp set Delightful Dozen in Island Indigo Ink. I wrapped a piece of Ruffled Island Indigo ribbon around the center of the Top Note and DSP to hide the seam. Love the Itty Bitty Punches (as you probably already figured out) and punched out 3 little flowers from Island Indigo cardstock and added Basic Pearls. For the bunny, basket and egg, I used Pretty In Pink, So So Saffron and Lucky Limeade ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the 1" circle punch and glued them into the smooshed bottle caps and then onto the card using Dimensionals.

Tea For Two Scalloped Envelope Box

I am so tired of the snow and ready for spring! When I made this box, it just screamed SPRING! My hostess this month asked me to make something 3D and since I am always trying to sell those AWESOME Big Shot dies, I wanted to show her that you can do things other than the original plan that they were intended for.  So, I made a box with the Scalloped Envelope Die! I started by using So Saffron Cardstock and cut two envelopes out. And then a strip of Saffron for the box.  I adhered it all together and wrapped it in a strip of Tea For Two DSP! I actually did not favor this paper at first, then I used it and omg! I love it! I then wrapped a piece of that FREE Island Indigo Ribbon around it and tied a bow.  I punched out a Lucky Limeade 1 3/8" Scallop Circle and layered on top of it a So Saffron circle and then smooshed down a Bottle Cap (from the Spring Mini).  Using the Collage Curios stamp set (Spring Mini),I stamped the script in Sahara Sand onto Whisper White cardstock and then colored the flower with the Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo markers and stamped it down over the script and punched it using the 1" Circle punch and hot glued it down to the box.  For the lid, I layered the Island Indio and a piece of Lucky Limeade ran through the Perfect Polka Dots folder and added a Pool Party button (FREE) over a Faceted Button (Free with purchase) with White Baker's Twine and hot glued it down. 

Two Tags Treat Holders

I'm just going to say it right off....THIS DIE IS MY FAVORITE! I have done so many 3D things with it and that's not even including cards I have done! It's the Two Tags Die and it's amazing! This is a treat holder we did as our Make and Take at a workshop a couple weeks ago.  I used the die and Pool Party cardstock and then just made it explode with all kinds of products from the Spring Mini and Salebration!  The "wrap" is DSP from More A'more paper pack. The front is decked out with the 7/8" Scallop Punch(Spring Mini)punched out in Basic Black cardstock, then the next layer, the heart image layer, is stamped in Primrose Petal ink onto Whisper White with a stamp from the Ciao, Baby! Stamp set(Spring Mini) and punched out with the Petite Curly Label punch(FREE with $50 purchase!).  I then had them cut away one of the flowers from the 5/8" Flower Trim(Spring Mini) and and we colored it just by rubbing directly into the ink pad and adhered to the front with Mini Glue Dots.  We had so much fun making them and I think I even sold one...lol! 

Decorate a Daisy Triple Time

Last weekend, I had a workshop and my hostess has wanted to learn how to make this card and I showed her how simple it really is. I chose the Decorate a Daisy stamp set because I was a little burned out on Valentines samples and needed some fresh colors to brighten the mood a bit. I chose Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo as my colors and the Ribbons and Buttons pack (FREE with $50 order), the Butterfly punch (Spring Mini), Itty Bitty Punch Pack(flower on butterfly and Basic Rhinestones and the Bloomin' Marvelous(sentiment-FREE with $50 order) stamped in Basic Black.

You Are My Sunshine!

I can't believe I am going to admit this because I always doted on SU! SETS of stamps, but I am going to say it, I LOVE THE SINGLE STAMPS!  When I saw this stamp offered, I knew I had to have it. I saw a card similar to this somewhere, but added my own personal touches.  I started with a 4x4 piece of Daffodil Delight and added a strip of Silver Glimmer paper punched with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon border punch and a 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White ran through the Fancy Fan Folder and wrapped a piece of 3/8" Daffodil Delight Ribbon around it and adhered it down.  I chose a piece a couple of scraps of Daffodil Delight DSP from the Patterns Pack and layered them under the black mat of cardstock. I stamped the You Are My Sunshine in Stazon ink onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and colored in some of the letters with the White Watercolor Pencil. I also stamped again the "are my" in black Stazon onto white and cut it out.  And I have been wanting to use those Bottle Caps! So I ran it through my Big Shot and "smooshed" it down.  I pulled out the Spring Sampler stamp set and chose the sunshine image(it might be hard to see, but it's a sunshine smiling) and stamped in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White cardstock, and punched it out with the 1" Circle punch.  I punched out a little heart from the Owl Punch and glued it to the sunshine image and adhered it all inside the bottle cap and then added some Crystal Effects to finish it off! Mini Owl Treat Box

A couple of weeks ago, I posted this project  http://jhurley90.blogspot.com/2013/01/owl-valentines-treat-holder.html and had a friend of mine contact me that she LOVED it and if I would make some for her daughter's Valentines party.  I told her they were pretty big for elementary age treats(that project was nearly 6x6 when assembled) and it would be more cost effective for her to go with a smaller one. So, I set out to see if I could do it, ( I always am up for a challenge) and knowing how easy that the Heart Framelits make things so much easier, it was only a matter of making the inside treat holder a different size..EASY PEASY! So all I did was use the 3rd largest heart in the die set, and cut two of them out of Cherry Cobbler and handle.  I used the next size smaller and cut out a  Sahara Sand heart for an extra layer. For the center "pocket", I cut a 2x4 inch piece of Cherry Cobbler, scored it at 2" on the short side, and 1/2" on each long side, then cut at the 2" score into the 1/2" score and folded it to make a "V" shape and then glued each side to one of the hearts.  For the owl, I cut a 1 3/4" Circle of Cherry Cobbler, then ran some Pink Pirouette through the  Adorning Accents Folder(hearts) and then punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle and then put it back into the punch to round it to fit onto the front of the owl (looks like a football shape).  I then cut out feet using the Owl Punch and Tangerine Tango cardstock and glued to the back of the owl. I used the 1/2" and 1/4" circle punches for the eyes and a corner of the Tangerine for the nose. I finished the girl ones off with Wild Wasabi flowers punched using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and a Basic Rhinestone in the center. I stamped the sentiment using the That's the Ticket stamp set found in the Spring Mini and punching it out using the Ticket Punch.
(ETA: I had originally made the sucker treat holders with the owls on them and she really liked the heart holders, so we went ahead and did the girl and boy owls for the heart holders.)
